Blue Box Episode 1 Review And Recap

Blue Box Episode 1 Review A Beautifully Made Sports Romance

The premise of this story is pretty basic as we see a young boy named Taiki, a promising tennis player, becoming smitten with one of his seniors. At school, Chinatsu is a star player who is the ace of the basketball team. Hence, our hero, who is still a rookie on the tennis court, does not think he is good enough for Chinatsu.

Still, he pines for his beloved and hopes that she, too, would notice him. Lucky for him, she not only notices him but is also quite friendly to this puppy-like junior. On top of that, they are also the only ones who come early to the court to practice their respective matches. Apart from Taiki, two of his friends are also aware of his one-sided love life. They tease him about aiming so high but come across as supportive, nevertheless. However, everything starts to crumble when a situation arises where Chinatsu might not be able to meet Taiki anymore.

The plot of the story is very basic, and if you have read or watched any shoujo, you will know how this anime will turn out. But with the addition of sports, things can be far more interesting, and I hope we do get a dose of both worlds. The characters here are also likeable, with Taiki being head over heels and Chinatsu being the cool senpai. The other characters seemed quirky and interesting, whom we will learn more about in the later episodes.

Honestly, it is still very early to predict how the show will turn out, but from the look of the first episode, things seem promising. You can tell the production house gave its all when it came to the animation because everything looks stunning. Every frame is vibrant and very beautifully animated. Even the opening and ending themes are catchy and mesmerising.

Verdict

I love this episode and have very high hopes for the future. I think the animation and the music will elevate the entire storyline to newer heights and let us experience a good romance story. Hence, I will definitely urge you not to miss out on this one.

  1. Uhh yeah sure, not a big fan of sports anime,

But hopefully they wil not put heavyweight on just playing too much sports,

For now this furst one is funny, like slapstick anime humour,

The animation looks a bit like a sticks figures, and not looking realistic bodies,

But its okies, but i hope the anime future on netflix is not going to be to heavy on sports stuff, i trued the golf anime and kinda give up on that one,

This looking that could be fun to watch, but just do the sport stuff in a fun way,

My score: 2.5 of 5, i l know sport is popular but there’s is me and alot of other that dont like it, we just fall outside and give up…
