South Korea is all set to present its best foot forward at the 76th Cannes Film Festival with BLACKPINK Rosé making her first visit out in public dressed impeccably casually. The idol is there as an ambassador for the luxury fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent (YSL). However, for this appearance, she did not exude luxury but the most carefree nature one should bring to the French Riviera. She is seen wearing black tracks, a beautiful white jacket and a cropped tank top. She is currently sporting a head of platinum blonde hair and is seen with the French actor, Emmanuel Tomasini.
The KPop idol is also set to be there as a guest to attend the premiere of the Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke starrer Strange Way of Life. Fans are incredibly excited to see her at the festival, as she is the second member of the band to be invited to the festival along with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who will be present at the premiere of the Sam Levinson-led HBO series, The Idol. The brand had also ventured into the production of this film, and while her agency hadn’t made any specific announcements about her presence, the idol took to share on her social media.
This will be the first time the idol will be appearing at the festival. She has consistently been trending on Twitter ever since the announcement, fans are excited to see her at the event while she casually takes a stroll through the area. Some have shared videos with her sitting behind them, while others are still in awe of her relevance and cultural impact in the pop culture psyche. While many other actors and performers are expected to show at the event, they are happy to see that she is the one the internet has gravitated to the most.

The film that Rosé will be Strange Way of Life is a Western starring the aforementioned in a queer love story. It is directed by Pedro Almodóvar and will also be written by them. It is produced by Agustín Almodóvar, Esther García and Anthony Vaccarello, the creative director of YSL. The trailer features two men engaged in a passionate love affair and a possible feud between a lawman and a cowboy. However, it isn’t clear whether they will be thick as thieves or at each other’s throats.
