The latest South Korean drama (택배기사) starring Kim Woo‑bin in the lead role alongside Song Seung-heon, Kang Yoo-seok, Esom, Kim Eui-sung and more released on May 12, 2023, on Netflix. Directed and written by Cho Ui Seok, the story follows a post-apocalyptic society with an existing class divide that threatens the life of the underprivileged.

Black Knight Ending Explained

Ryu Seok’s continued efforts to annihilate the refugees knew no bounds, and he remained unstoppable. Hundreds of people died following the massacre he caused in the form of coordinated bomb blasts. After his father, Chairman Ryu, ordered him to include the refugees in the relocation plan, he took matters into his own hands and made a drastic move. He intentionally started to pollute the air so people could keep relying on Cheonmyeong Group for oxygen. Moreover, he curated special vaccination rounds for refugees, which contained a contingent that killed many.

Who killed Chairman Ryu?

Chairman Ryu was informed about Ryu Seok’s actions by the Commander, Seol Ah. He decided to make an agreement with the president and handed over the major rights of the company to her. Moreover, an arrest warrant was also issued in Seok’s name for the killings of the refugees. These incidents infuriated Seok, and he impulsively killed his father.

Following the death of his father, he joined hands with the Defense minister and staged a coup. He declared the deliverymen as criminals and ordered their immediate arrest.

Who captured Sa-wol?

When Sa-wol found out about the vaccines, he rushed to stop his friends from using them. However, a shootout occurred within the premises, and the soldiers shot his friend down. Distraught, he tried to revive him, but it was of no use. Suddenly, a soldier from behind hit his head from behind and took him back to Ryu Seok. Seok brought him back to the medical facility and started to transfuse Sa-wol’s blood inside him so he could receive his powers.

Did 5-8 save Sa-wol?

5-8 acquired the blueprint of the main city where Sa-wol had been captured. Along with the team of deliverymen and Seol Ah’s team of soldiers, they successfully infiltrated the city by breaking open the stimulated skyscape. 5-8 successfully entered the room where Sa-wol was kept and managed to take down every soldier, including Ryu Seok. He shot Ryu Seok point blank in the head and escaped the premises with Sa-wol.

What happened to Ryu Seok?

Ryu Seok turned the energy output of the building to max moments before he was about to be captured. He did so because he wanted everyone in the city to die along with him. However, the citizens were able to escape in time and save themselves from the explosion. Even after being shot, Seok still had some life inside him as his hand moved slightly, but due to the explosion ultimately died soon after.
