Previously known as King Of Savvy, Big Bet (카지노) is an original Disney+ South Korean drama series directed by Nam Ki-hoon, and Kang Yoon-sung (known for helming The Outlaws (2017)), who is also stepping in as these screenwriter. The series stars Choi Min-sik as Cha Moo-sik, Son Suk-ku as Oh Seung-hoon and Lee Dong-hwi as Jeong-pal in the lead roles, alongside others.
The action and crime-driven plot of the series puts us right in the midst of the cut-throat environment of casinos, with Cha Moo-sik reigning high on the charts and everyone fearing him in the Philippines. However, things take a turn when he gets entangled in a murder case and is compelled to play the biggest bet for his life to win the “fierce game of survival”.

Led by Choi Min-sik as Cha Moo-sik, Son Suk-ku as Oh Seung-hoon and Lee Dong-hwi as Jeong-pal as the main characters, the k-drama also stars Lee Kyu-hyung, Heo Sung-tae, Kim Joo-ryoung, Kim Roi-ha, Jin Seon-kyu, Lee Hye-young, and Ryu Hyun-kyung alongside others.

Although back in Korea, Seung-hoon keeps his eyes peeled for new developments in the murder case. Mr Cha’s return will perturb the Mayor and the other officials responsible for Min Seok-jun’s murder. On the other hand, while Young-hee’s relationship with her boyfriend seems to be over, things are not looking on the bright side for her.
The final scene of the last episode will be followed up in the upcoming episode, thereby revealing the identity of the uncanny presence knocking at her door, and how it ultimately affects her fate in the grand scheme of things. And, clearly Jung-pal has been misusing Moo-sik’s support, so, hopefully there will be some exchanges between the two related to this theme as well. Seung-hoon’s association with Sang-gu is bound to reel in some results too.
Big Bet Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
Titled ‘Comeback’, the sixth episode of the second season premiering on March 8, 2023, put the focus on Cha Moo-sik’s return to the Philippines from Korea. However, instead of being welcomed with open arms, he’s rather greeted by some major changes at the casino. Inspector Seung-hoon seemingly bridges the gap between him and Moo-sik to further dig into Min Seok-jun’s murder case, and leaves him with a warning beforehand. Thereafter, Jung-pal gets arrested by him for concealing illegal funds, and he once again relies on his senior to get him out.
Episode 6 is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on February 22, 2023.
