Benedict Cumberbatch Improvised A Funny Line In Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most tragic MCU films. But it also has some hilarious moments and dialogues featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr, Tom Holland and Chris Pratt. Fans are missing those good times when they got to see Iron Man/Tony Stark and Doctor Strange/Stephen Strange’s hilarious altercations several times.

From the first moment they met till the scene before they fight Thanos, Iron Man and Doctor Strange had many witty exchanges. But what if we tell you one of the funniest dialogues from the film was improvised by Cumberbatch?

Benedict Cumberbatch has revealed that he improvised one of the dialogues from Avengers: Infinity War and was happy to see it make it to the film. The dialogue is – ‘It’s protecting your reality, douchebag’. In an interaction with THR, the Sherlock actor says, “I remember on the set when I called him a douchebag, there was this sort of ripple effect. ‘Oh my God. Did you just call Iron Man a douchebag?’ They kept it, good for them. And then, it got the same kind of response at the cinema.”

“I was just … I got bored of being compared to Liberace or whatever other retorts the guy with the same camp goatee had opposite me, so I tried to knock him down. It’s great fun to play with that stuff. You find your feet. The more times you do it, the more familiar it becomes,” added the actor.
