Behind Every Star episode 7 starts with Tae-oh feeling rather morose as he watches two of his clients, married couple So-hyun and Jun-ho, talking about successful marriages and togetherness. Clearly going through a lot himself, he gets a frantic call from So-hyun in the middle of the night, who tells him that someone might have taken a secret picture of her with a friend while they were sitting in the car.

So-hyun assures Tae-oh that the person is a friend and nothing inappropriate is going on, but Jun-ho doesn’t like this person, and she had lied to him before meeting him. However, she suddenly tries to downplay the situation and disconnects the call.

The next morning, Jane is right back at work after the heartbreak from the other night, and after chatting with Hyun-joo about Eun-gyul, the former hands the client over to her so that she can handle him from then on. Hyun-joo tells Tae-oh the good news, who wishes her the best and tells her to take care of him on set. While going out of the restaurant, they find Kyung-ok with the president of Star Media.

The office, meanwhile, is abuzz – So-hyun’s pictures with her friend have made the news, and thus, the other managers are quite scared. Everyone obviously takes this to be a possible cheating scenario, but Tae-oh assures them that he’s just a friend and there’s nothing else going on. However, there are bigger problems, especially with Kyung-ok buzzing around Cho Gi-bong. Tae-oh, in an effort to save the company, proposes that they all take a pay cut.

Unfortunately, that conversation comes to an end when Jun-ho makes an appearance at the office. It turns out that both husband and wife are at the office talking separately with Tae-oh, who is trying his best to placate both of them and blow this issue away. However, both the husband and wife are not in the mood to forgive each other and refuse to budge from their stance. In the end, Tae-oh hands So-hyun over to Jung-don.

Later, as Jin-hyeok is on the brink of accepting a lucrative managerial position at another company, we learn that Jane is about to head out to her hometown for some work, and by the looks of it, she’s not interested to stay there more than absolutely necessary. On the other hand, Hyun-joo and Eun-gyul’s relationship seems to have become quite sweet, and they seem to have turned over a new leaf.

However, things aren’t that great for So-hyun, who gives a horrible interview and ends up in more trouble than before. But, Jane gets a pleasant surprise in her hometown and meets an old friend who is also getting honoured in the same event. Right off the bat, there is tension between her and Koo Hae-jun, who doesn’t wait for a moment before pulling her leg.

The suave Hae-jun ends up promising to build a natural grass field for every school in the district, attracting all everyone’s attention and admiration!

Back at Method, Tae-oh is having a hard time with the chaos surrounding him and gets threatened with legal action if both So-hyun and Jun-ho don’t show up for future promotions as promised. Unfortunately for him, Jun-ho is nowhere to be found, and Jung-don informs him in a bit that So-hyun, too, isn’t doing great. However, Tae-oh assures him that they won’t break up just because of a fight and that things might just get better soon. Jung-don’s response, though, leaves him questioning his own marriage!

At Haenam, Jane tries to come up with a new plan to save Method and decides to try to persuade Hae-jun to invest in the company. But after a little conversation and a rather sad tour of the set, it doesn’t seem like he’s very secure about throwing a lot of money at the company. Meanwhile, Tae-oh resorts to blackmailing Jun-ho so that he would appear at the talk show.

Things get complicated meanwhile for Jane, who gets into an accident and potentially loses Hae-jun thanks to a rather odd fight with the stunt manager. She wakes up the next day with a broken front tooth and a nasty gash on her lip. At Method, Jin-hyeok gets a taste of his own medicine when he loses his job at Shark Entertainment.

Things, however, look rather bleak for Tae-oh, who goes home to get things sorted with Eun-ha, but she refuses to believe him and shows him a picture of him with So-hyun as the reason for her distrust. He implores her to listen to him and see reason, but she, in turn, asks for a divorce.

The next day, Jun-ho goes to the talk show alone while So-hyun gets ambushed by Gi-bong, who starts to tell her some very secretive things about her husband that Tae-oh has been hiding from her. The startling revelations result in her going to the show to ‘surprise’ everyone, and you’d think that this would end horribly, but the two of them are finally able to come clean and get everything out in the open and makeup.

However, that making up comes at a cost – they later meet Tae-oh and inform him that both of them will be switching agencies. So-hyun doesn’t want dishonesty in her life, and the way the two of them worked together to fool her made her rethink her decisions. Tae-oh is left devastated at the realization that he will be losing such big names, and it almost seems like a repetition of his own life.

As he comes back to the office looking rather ill, they are all introduced to their new investor, Hae-jun, who is acting rather flirty with Jane. Unfortunately, Tae-oh has had enough stress and promptly blacks out as they are making introductions.

Behind Every Star Episode 7 Review

Still From Behind Every Star Episode 7

Although the show never really tries to go too deep and, even at over 60 minutes, feels rushed and boring at the same time, Behind Every Star episode 7 has us feeling some type of way for Tae-oh’s struggles. The new story every episode feels a bit too rushed, and the overarching storylines sometimes feel out of place in the current topic, but when we focus on ongoing storylines, things start to create a bit of interest. I, personally, have started to like the characters and sympathise with their struggles.

With the introduction of Heo Sung-tae we get some much-needed suave, and I hope he’s here to stay. Honestly, I can’t seem to have enough of him after watching him in Adamas.

Either way, this episode is ok, but nothing spectacular. I wonder what happened to Jane’s broken tooth, though.
