Playing the untamed beast, ATEEZ San delivered a fierce performance of Imagine Dragons’ Warriors. The arena-rock song already has a wide fanbase owing to its affiliation to the League of Legends OST and it just got powered up by an all new identity as Choi San’s ferocious anthem. Released as a special clip on the ATEEZ YouTube channel, the video’s dance choreography has been helmed by the ’99 liner himself alongside BBtrippin and TARZAN.
Directed by Uzin Kim, the clip has been shot at one of the signature Korean locations that’s often been spotted in several other K-pop music videos, and it makes for a cinematic showdown as numerous background dancers come together as a squad supporting San’s one-man-show.
In this Warriors by San performance video posted on October 27, Choi, recognised as the lead dancer of the KQ Entertainment group, owns his persona for the said official position. Even without the ATEEZ members by his side, his power-hungry roar can be heard from a distance as he takes on this Herculean track. ATINYs, aka the fans of the group, are already correlating his wild performative spirit to that of the anime character Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen. Others, indisputably floored by his dance cover, also affirmed that this can stand out as a music video on its own, and felt their attention instantly grasped by his spellbinding abilities to come up as a star performer.
Not only does San’s powerful moves do the talking, his facial expressions also establish the mood and fervour of the song’s vibe, and his overall presence guides the camera. Some ATINYs have even pointed how he probably even channeled his favourite League of Legends character Sylas’ power-walk and hold over his body language for this performance.
And then of course, the video also fuels the fans’ “Actor Choi San Agenda” with him assuming control as a supernatural presence as if it all comes naturally to him. Regardless of what all takes have been spilled by fans on X (formerly Twitter), together they infer only one conclusion regarding the power San holds as a dancer, making him one of the best performers of the 4th Generation K-pop scene.
