Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 8 Preview

This episode begins with Alya storming off to confront the student council president, visibly furious after her encounter with Taniyama. She recounts the humiliation they endured in front of the entire school and insists that this time, they must have a debate to prove their legitimacy in the upcoming student council election.
Alya seems to have taken the situation to heart, especially since Taniyama’s rudeness was directed specifically at Masachika. Her determination to win only grows stronger as she begins to realize that Masachika may have been insulted because of her. Taniyama, believing Masachika had betrayed his partner by supporting a rival, saw her actions as justified and didn’t hesitate to target the pair.
As the debate kicks off, Alya is visibly anxious. Speaking in front of such a large audience for the first time—especially in a debate setting—leaves her feeling overwhelmed. However, Kuze quickly steps in to ease her nerves, helping her regain her composure. Despite the rocky start, the debate soon turns into a lively exchange, with both sides presenting their strongest arguments and rebuttals, making for a captivating showdown. However, Alya ultimately wins the round.
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 9 Review

This episode was a nice blend of seriousness and comedy. It begins with a very grim atmosphere in the Suou household, where Yuki gets grilled by her grandfather about how she must win over her brother. She gets outright disrespected by her grandfather, who compares her with her more talented brother and pressures her to win at any cost. Thankfully, Yuki is someone who can pretend to be a lady but also get back in her groove within seconds without falling into depression. She quickly recovers herself and even goes as far as to use Ayano’s boobs to calm her nerves down.
We also see how the debate’s results have been affecting Alya, who hates the fact that Taniyama is getting badmouthed by others. Masachika, thus, approaches Nonoa to sort the whole situation out. When asked why is he so concerned about a rival, he clearly claims that he’s only worried because of Alya. Here, we also get some comic scenes because Yuki and Ayano are listening to the whole convo, and Alya discovers them, creating another misunderstanding.

As Alya still thinks Yuki to be a rival in love, she showcases outright jealousy and her disapproval of Yuki and Ayano’s closeness with Masachika. And Yuki revels in that fact and even uses Alya’s animosity for her own amusement. This element brings out a lot of hilarious moments that entertain you throughout.
But the most entertaining aspect of this episode is definitely when Yuki and Masachika decide to hypnotize the Kujou sisters. Masachika’s attempt is innocent enough, but he forgets that his sister has a penchant for chaos, and she loves to see the world burn.
She ends up commanding the two sisters to become more and more unrestrained. Not only that, but she also tells them to be free from the shackles of their inhibitions and lay their minds and bodies bare. This command, for obvious reasons, brings forth some very troublesome situations that you should witness for yourself.

Verdict
Today’s episode was again hilarious, and Yuki came out as effortlessly funny. She has definitely become one of my favourite characters because of her quirkiness and just how well she deals with both problematic and funny situations. Other than that, you will also completely fall in love with our very supportive couple, who, as always, are there for each other.
