Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 5 Recap

This episode was one of the funniest of the season, with much of the humour attributed to Yuki. She is far from your typical doting sister—she’s a whirlwind of chaos who isn’t afraid to push boundaries for her own amusement.
The episode begins on a serious note with our hero reflecting on Alya’s words. Having witnessed his parents’ broken marriage, his views on love are more grounded than those of an average high school student. Consequently, he dismisses Alya’s confession as a mistake. The dynamic between Yuki and Kuze becomes even more chaotic when he reveals his plans to support Alya’s bid to become the student council president.
However, Yuki isn’t the only highlight of the episode. The next day at school, a very tired Kuze finds joy in observing Alya, appreciating every detail. He also manages to sneak glances at both Kujou sisters without them noticing. The episode concludes by introducing another intriguing female character, the vice president, who is also the girlfriend of the current president.
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 6 Review

This episode again showcased just how playful Yuki can be. It begins with Yuki suddenly asking for the company of Alya for some important discussions regarding the student council budget. But Alya also had some things to say to Yuki. She directly asks about Yuki’s intentions regarding Kuze, and Yuki, who just wants to tease Alya, confesses that she loves Kuze the most in the entire world.
The way she phrases it seems like it is romantic love, but we know what she actually means. Alya also becomes quite charged with this and ends up saying that she will not give Kuze to anyone. However, things do not escalate from there, and Yuki actually ends up forming an unlikely connection with Alya. She even asks Alya’s permission to call her by her first name from now on.

Back in the council room, we learn how Masha is very much interested in tea, and she serves some to others. But when Alya comes back quite distressed from Yuki’s earlier confession, she starts to act more clingy with Kuze without caring about anyone. Yuki obviously gets a kick from this, and Kuze realises that his devil sister must have done something for this to happen.
Thus, to do damage control, he later invites Alya to have a meeting with her and strategize how she will be able to win the next election. Alya gets disappointed because she thinks that it is a date, and she voices it using Russian. Here, their interaction is definitely adorable, and we see our leads having the famous indirect kiss when Alya feeds Kuze her parfait.
But they do not just flirt with each other and they do actually talk about strategies.
Verdict

Today’s episode was again sweet and cute because we got to see Alya flustered. Towards the end, Kuze again feeds Alya something spicy, and those who are interested in her tears can be happy as she ends up crying. One thing is clear, Kuze also likes Alya because now he gets less flustered when Alya flirts with him.
