The Spanish comedy series Alpha Males aka Machos Alfa is going to be 2022’s last series from the Spanish cinema. Directed by Alberto Caballero and Laura Caballero, who are widely known for their film La Que Se Avecina, are back with another comedy series showing the lives of four men in their 40s, who are struggling to fit in the new equality era.
Alpha Males Synopsis
The official description of the series reads:
A lost job, an open relationship, a sexless marriage, a divorce. Four middle-aged friends in Madrid try to navigate the changing world of masculinity.
In a women run world, Pedro, Luis, Raúl and Santi, who once were in control of their lives and the people around them, finally need to realize the end of patriarchy. With new lessons en route, will the four friends adapt and settle down or go about a rampage?

The main cast of the series includes Fernando Gil, María Hervas, Raúl Tejón, Nathalie Seseña, Kira Miró, Gorka Otxoa, Paula Gallego, Mar Saura, Fele Martínez, Raquel Guerrero and Virginia Rodríguez. The series is produced by Contubernio Films and is officially distributed by Netflix. The series is edited by Óscar Romero, Marta Salas and Jaime Sagi-Vela, while the cinematography is done by Juan Luis Cabellos. The costume designer of the cast is Austen Junior, and the makeup artist is Rebeca Saelices.

Alpha Males Trailer and Release Date
The trailer starts with Santi claiming himself as a sexist – the nerve. Since that point, the trailer sets off to show the four men who look absolutely confused with the world where people date online, be in open relationships and women exploring themselves with sex toys. The four friends encounter various women and get baffled by their needs. In fact, one woman compares one of the protagonist’s sex drives to a plant.
Seems like the series will hysterically show how people’s mindsets, especially the men, change as the world enters the modern era. But do the men really consider it a positive change? Because in the trailer, one of the leads accuses Chromosome Y is at war and is the new patriarchy. Hopefully, the series will put forth a positive message than just bash fourth wave feminism.
