Alchemy of Souls season 2 has finally begun and it comes with a spectacular start that has amazed us already. Directed by Park Joon-hwa and starring Lee Jae-wook, Go Yoon-jung, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Na-ra and Jo Jae-yoon, alongside other cast members.
With episodes 1 and 2 ushering in mixed reactions from fans, there is no doubt that there is a lot of excitement that is also flowing through their comments. And this was bound to happen after the sequel made sure, to begin with, revelations and characters bringing out their strong aura already.
So without further ado, here are 3 things that have already wowed us after the first weekend of season 2!
Alchemy of Souls Season 2: 3 Things that have Amazed Us!
Jang Uk’s Power
Jang Uk has definitely shown us all that he is the most powerful mage this season right from the beginning in every scene where he is seen using his powers. From entering Jinyowon without a hurdle, kidnapping Jin Bu-yeon with ease and even entering the Unanimous Assembly in an almighty way. Every one of these scenes has shown us that Jang Uk is definitely not one to mess with and we are loving it.
The only thing stopping him from going with his powers however is Park Jin who has put his life on the line once again to save his beloved Jang Uk.

Jin Ho-kyung’s Obsession
The next thing on this list has to be the craziness that Jin Ho-kyung has shown us in just two episodes. Be it confining her daughter, sewing the tracking thread on her back, or even giving up on her soul to preserve her body so that she can get an heir from her. Ho-kyung is really crossing some limits and it has already become unbearable for us all to watch.
Unfortunately, Jin Cho-yeon is also bearing the burden with her sister as she is unable to stop whatever is happening and has to watch it all.

Naksu’s Return and her Personality
The last on this list has to be the way Go Yoon-jung aka Naksu has made her return to the show, and it was definitely the most unexpected way. With her soul taking over Jin Bu-yeon’s body and changing into her own, the loss of her memories and powers has brought about a new personality for the character herself.
Her current personality comes from being confined within Jinyowon and having no memories; it is something like that of a person who craves freedom which brings about her excited yet sad persona.

Bonus: Park Jin
One of the characters that we have all loved in season 1 has to be the leader of Songrim whose intelligence and power shined while his blockheadedness towards Kim Do-ju made us all laugh. Season 2 began with Park Jin playing a more comic and elderly role which is saddening to watch. However, the comedy he continues to bring to the show is still loved, while his sensitivity towards Jang Uk reminds us that he is still the same powerful mage who had managed to fatally wound Naksu.
