A Sign of Affection Episode 10 Review: Yuki Spends The Night With Itsuomi

A Sign of Affection Episode 10 Review: A Sign of Affection Episode 10 was heartbreaking and beautiful. In the last episode, Oushi learns about Itsuomi, and is not happy about it.

A Sign of Affection Episode 10 Review and Recap – Oushi’s Lost Love

A Sign of Affection Episode 10 Review Yuki Spends The Night With Itsuomi

Today’s episode gives us an insight into the world of Oushi and tortures us with some major second-lead syndrome. The episode starts with a flashback, where we see Yuki and Oushi looking at the fireworks. Then, the scene transports us to Yuki’s current situation, who is experiencing a very important moment in her life as a girlfriend. She is spending the night in her boyfriend’s apartment for the very first time.

Yuki is both excited and scared by this new scenario, and we get pulled into their world of romance, feeling the fluff all the way from outside our computer screens.

But this episode did not just drown us in the lovey-dovey scenes between the pair, as we also get the point of view of Oushi as well. He, who has been in love with Yuki for the longest time, goes to Itsuomi to confront him. But what he did not expect is how Itsuomi would react to his queries. Rather than being jealous and mean to his competition, Itsuomi drags Oushi with him and tries to force a one-sided friendship on him.

But things are not that simple. We understand how complex and deep Oushi’s love has been for Yuki. According to him, Oushi learned the sign language because it was like a secret language between them. He wanted to feel special and hence, he liked that there was something between Yuki and him that could not be understood by others.

But even though he started his love a long time back, Oushi is late. If he was so much in love with her, he should have made a move when there was time. He should not have waited and kept thinking that no one would arrive to rival him. This was a miscalculation on his part, and now he cannot do anything other than witness the girl he is in love with be with another man.

Verdict

As usual, I love this episode. I understand where Oushi’s frustration towards Yuki’s relationship is coming from, and I do sympathise with his situation, but I cannot support his love over Itsuomi’s. Oushi always tries to keep Yuki hidden and let her world be as small as possible, whereas Itsuomi tries to open Yuki’s world to new horizons. Where they both differ is the confidence they have in their love. Itsuomi believes in Yuki’s love for him, and he is not even afraid of a potential rival and welcomes Oushi as a friend with open arms. Hopefully, things will be better between them.
