A Model Family Trailer: Jung Woo As a Helpless Family Man in Dire Need of Money

Netflix is all set to add another thrilling Korean show to its list in the month of August. The Swoon dropped A Model Family Trailer on YouTube and social media after teasing fans with stills a few days ago. The crime drama stars Jung Woo as Dong-ha, Park Hee-soon as Gwang-cheol, Yoon Jin-seo as Eun-joo and Park Ji-yeon as Joo-hyun.

In the trailer, we meet Dong-ha, a professor who needs money to get his son treated. Dong-ha’s wife, Eun-Joo is upset with him for not being able to provide money when the family needs it the most. One day, Dong-ha finds lots of money inside a vehicle. The professor takes that money without thinking much about the consequences.

Unfortunately, the money he takes belongs to a number 2 man in the drug dealing market, Gwang-Cheol. When Cheol finds out about Dong-Ha, he gets him involved in illicit drug activities/supply. Dong-Ha is in trouble as he not only fails to help his family but has to focus on the problems that he walked into.

To add more to the trouble, there’s Detective Joo-Hyun, the leader of an anti-drug crime team who is investigating Gwang-Cheol. During Cheol’s investigation, Hyun also learns about Dong-Ha. He’s shocked to see that a model family man, a professor like him, is a part of the business.

The makers describe the Korean thriller as, “They’re the perfect family on paper. In reality, they’re cash-strapped and on the verge of divorce. The husband comes across money that belongs to a drug ring—could this be their saving grace or their worst nightmare?”
