Extraordinary You (2019)

The interesting plot of this fantasy-romance-comedy series follows a woman who suddenly realises that she is a disposable character in a comic, entirely at the mercy of its omnipotent writer. Not willing to accept a lame fate, she takes matters into her own hands to change her own destiny, but that might have serious consequences!
The drama’s plot, as mentioned above, is unique and unpredictable. Eun Dan-oh’s drive to change her own predetermined destiny is extremely inspiring and all the actors play their roles with such earnestness that it is difficult to not root for them. The romance and the drama are sweet reminders that we can change our destinies if we have the courage to act and, in spite of some flaws, it’s a light and sweet watch that keeps your heart warm till the end.
Alchemy of Souls (2022)

Starring Lee Jae-wook and Jung So-min in lead roles, the story follows a powerful sorceress in a blind woman’s body who comes across a man from a prestigious family out to change his own destiny. Together, they try to change the direction of both of their lives. Let’s just say that this drama is mesmerising to look at, first and foremost.
Its production quality is apparent in every frame and you won’t be able to look away. Moreover, the storyline is just so arresting and entertaining that audiences will find themselves glued to their screens, wondering what will happen next. The intense chemistry between the leads just adds to the intensity of the plot wherein you root for them to survive and to have a happy ending.
Death’s Game (2023)

A unique premise starring Seok In-guk and Park So-dam, this drama is one of the best to have come out of last year. Its storyline is arresting, intriguing and really dark and has intense moments of emotion and thrill. A desperate and heartbroken Choi Yi-jae, after trying to end his life, comes across Death at the gates of Hell, who has a unique proposition for him. The characters are written extremely well and the screenplay has depths and some great twists that will leave your mouth agape. Plus, look out for some amazing special appearances in every episode!
