Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo is a 2016 Romantic Comedy inspired by the life of Korean Olympic gold medalist weightlifter Jang Mi-ran. It is a cute love story between two friends, Kim Bok-joo, played by Lee Sung-kyung, and Jung Joon-hyung, played by Nam Joo-hyuk. Bok-joo is a weightlifter and Joon-hyung is a swimmer and they both attend the same sports university. The two fall in love with each other and help each other get over their insecurities and fears.

Twenty Five Twenty One

One of the best Kdramas of 2022, Twenty Five Twenty One is set in 90s South Korea where two youngsters fight for their dreams. Joo-hyuk as Baek Yi-jin and Kim Tae-ri as Na Hee-do fall in love but as they grow up and follow their dreams, their relationship falls apart. However, their time spent together remains a fond memory of their youth. The drama will make you nostalgic about the days when you were younger.

Start Up is a 2020 multi-starrer hit Kdrama featuring Bae Suzy, Joo-hyuk, Kim Seon-ho and Kang Han-na. Nam Do-san used to be a smart kid but his business has been failing for the past two years which has shattered his confidence. He meets Seo Dal-mi, who mistakes Do-san as her first love. She is passionate about making her start-up successful and aspires to become Korea’s Steve Jobs. As Do-san starts falling for Dal-mi, it drives him to get back stronger in his business.

The Bride of Habaek

The god of water, Lord Habaek visits Earth, without his powers in search of sacred stones needed to claim the throne of his realm. He asks Yoon So-ah to help him as she is the last one remaining from the family bound to serve him. She is a psychiatrist and initially thinks that he has a mental illness but helps him when other gods intervene. They both start falling for each other while on their quest, only to realize later that So-ah was fated to become The Bride of Habaek. Nam Joo-hyuk plays Lord Habaek while Shin Se-kyung plays Yoon So-ah.

Who Are You: School 2015 is the sixth instalment in the popular school series and features Nam Joo-hyuk, Kim So-hyun and Yook Sung-jae. Kim So-hyun plays the role of identical twin sisters, Go Eul-bi and Go Eun-byul. While Eun-byul is adopted, Eun-bi stays in the orphanage. Later, Eun-byul runs away from home and Eun-bi takes the identity of Eun-byul. Han Yi-an falls for her, not knowing her real identity. It is a high school drama filled with friendship, love and heartbreaks.
