Rajkummar Rao’s performance in the 2017 film Omerta might just be one of the most career-defining works by the actor. The biographical crime drama was screened at various film festivals including the 2017 Toronto International Film and the Busan International Film Festival. Even though the film received a lot of positive reviews from critics, it did not open well at the Indian box office.
But, it has been 4 years of Omerta and, it is rare to find people not talking about it or knowing the film, in general. It was surely the rise in OTT platforms during the pandemic that made a lot of underrated gems come to the surface with Omerta being one of them. To mark the four-year celebration of the film, director Hansal Mehta shared a still of Rao from the film and, wrote a paragraph dedicated to the team that worked on the project, showing his appreciation as well as remarking on how the film has gotten recognized over time.
Rao replied to the thoughtful post by re-posting it on Instagram with the caption: “@hansalmehta Love you Sir ❤️❤️❤️”. You can check out the post below.
