The Curse of Oak Island (2014 – Present)
The Curse of Oak Island is a reality television series, running for 9 seasons since 2014. It follows an eclectic team of treasure hunters and their search for legendary treasure on the infamous Oak Island, off the shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. It was first broadcast in Canada on the History network on January 6, 2014.
When Michigan brothers Rick and Marty Lagina bought a 50 per cent stake in the company that owns the famed Oak Island in 2006, they became the latest in a long line of treasure hunters who have spent more than 220 years trying to unearth untold riches suspected of being hidden in its confines. They became fascinated with the island after reading the January 1965 issue of Reader’s Digest magazine that features an article on the Restall family’s work to investigate the so-called money pit, found on the island.

Expedition Unknown (2015 – Present)
If you want to explore the mysteries around the world, then Expedition Unknown is for you. Following an archaeologist who travels around the world looking for unknown and missing artefacts from throughout time. The official synopsis of the show reads- Intrigued by legendary mysteries and driven by curiosity, Josh Gates is on a mission for answers. Expedition Unknown chronicles his global adventures as he investigates iconic unsolved events, lost cities, buried treasures and other puzzling stories.

Caribbean Pirate Treasure (2017)
If you are looking for a series like Pirate Gold of Adak Island which you can binge-watch easily then Caribbean Pirate Treasure is the best choice. It follows the husband-wife duo Philippe and Ashlan Cousteau exploring legends of lost treasure in the Caribbean. They travel to beautiful destinations, meet passionate locals and reveal the truth behind some of the islands’ most enduring myths.
The show only has one season with 13 episodes and has a runtime of 21 minutes each. But what makes it different is that each episode explores a different topic like Lighthouse Reef in Belize or Pirate Prince Treasure in Antigua etc. It follows a similar theme of finding pirate treasure but at various places.
