The live broadcast of the main show and the red carpet ceremony by Mnet hosted by Park Bo-gum and Eric Nam, was one not to be missed anywhere in the world.

The 2024 MAMA Awards Day 1 in LA also had stellar performances from J.Y. Park, ILLIT, Young Posses, TWS and RIIZE. J.Y. Park teased an impromptu collaboration with Anderson .Paak, brings an exciting and unrehearsed energy to the stage. Meanwhile, RIIZE, ILLIT, and TWS captivated the audience with a performance, including them doing coves of their seniors and giving them a shoutout.
The theme for this year, “Big Blur: What is Real?”, perfectly encapsulated the event’s focus on the blurred lines between music, culture, and individual preferences. This innovative approach highlighted the 2024 MAMA Awards Day 1 as a groundbreaking celebration that bridges different cultures and musical styles.

The 2024 MAMA Awards US event brought about a new benchmark for K-pop events around the world as it marked the first time the awards would be held in the United States. Organized by CJ ENM through Mnet, the ceremony in Los Angeles precedes the next two days in Japan, which will take place at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on November 22 and 23. Due to the difference in time, the Japanese chapter will follow just hours after the American segment.
