2023 SBS Drama Awards: Where to Watch, Performers Lineup and All That We Know So Far

Before the year itself calls it quits, the 2023 SBS Drama Awards (SBS 연기대상의) will wrap up honouring all big names affiliated with this year’s drama titles that aired on the South Korean network in 2023. Slated to happen this Friday, this year’s award-giving ceremony will be held at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, the same venue as last year’s event. Coming back to join forces like the previous years, hosts Shin Dong-yup and My Demon’s Kim Yoo-jung will be reuniting soon, following their last partnership as MCs at the 2021 ceremony. This will mark their overall third collaboration as MCs for SBS Drama Awards.

In the past week, a special lineup of performers and a few nominees were announced by SBS. So, in this article, we’ve gathered all the information about the upcoming year-end award show that has been revealed so far. (It will be updated as and when more details are unveiled)

Some of the most significant and hit TV series that were backed by SBS this year include titles such as, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, The Killing Vote, Revenant, Taxi Driver 2, Dr Romantic 3, and My Demon, marking its most recent outing with Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung’s fantasy rom-com series. All That We Know About the 2023 SBS Drama Awards So Far

2023 SBS Drama Awards Lineup of Performers

As of now, the special lineup of performers slated to grace the event includes K-pop stars TOMORROW X TOGETHER and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, rock band Guckkasten and the Dr Romantic 3 cast. TXT members will be performing their recently released hit tracks, Chasing That Feeling and Happily Ever After, whereas Hwasa will be presenting her Chili and I Love My Body stages. Guckkasten members will be seen making their first comeback in a long time, as they’ll be taking the stage to showcase the OST Fighter, featured on SBS’ drama series, Taxi Driver 2. Additionally, Dr Romantic 3‘s Lee Sung-kyung will be dazzling the audience by belting out her drama’s OST, Thank You for the Memories.

Where to Watch SBS Drama Awards 2023

The year-end drama awards presented by the Korean network SBS will be held on December 29, 2023, this year, instead of taking place on the December 31, as they were organised conventionally. The ceremony is set to kick off at 8:40 PM KST, and will be available to watch on Viki in select regions on the same day. KOCOWA+ will also be live streaming the event in select locations.
