Fans of this ever-expanding K-Pop group can rejoice as the entertainment agency SM Entertainment just released the entire schedule for the band for the 2023 NCT Concerts and Album Dates. However, things are not as happy as they seem because two of the band members will not be part of the band’s journey this year. They are expected to be forming their own group after this.
Users on Twitter have pounced on this information and have already decided to block their own calendars, given the barrage of content coming from the band in the upcoming months. In the month of June, there will be an encore concert for The Dream Show 2: In Your Dream, performed by the subunit NCT Dream, while the promotions for their third studio album will also begin at that time. In July, SM Entertainment is planning on releasing the aforementioned studio album while also holding a 7th-anniversary fan meeting. It is also expected that the NCT Dream sub-unit will be touring in South America.

For the month of August, the band will be coming back with yet another studio album, which will be their fourth studio album. Additionally, all the members of the group, generally known as the NCT Nation, will be performing in a group concert. This group concert will also be happening once again in September. It is expected that the group will be performing songs from albums like Empathy, Resonance and Universe. In November, the band is expected to release another mini-album, which could probably mean that one of the sub-units might be releasing something.
However, the group is undergoing some serious changes from this year, including the removal of two band members, Sungchan and Shotaro. The two originally joined the band in 2020 under the NCT U banner and have been consistently performing well. Fans were eagerly waiting for the performers to debut in the band soon. While they will not be a part of the band anymore after this, they are expected to headline another boy group which will be launched sometime this year. Fans are incredibly annoyed because the agency had consistently marketed them for three years only to have them removed soon.
SM Entertainment has expressed its deepest apologies while also explaining the creative conflicts and the way this new group would have its artistic vision reflected when they will not be a part of this group. Accused of dropping the ball, fans don’t seem to be letting go of this anytime soon. However, the entertainment agency and the band are ready to bring this chapter to a close with the last overseas unit, which is tentatively known as NCT Tokyo. Currently, there are five sub-units, including NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and NCT DoJaeJung.

The final sub-unit recently released their mini-album and music video with the lead single, Perfume. The name of the band is an abbreviation for the phrase New Culture Technology, which boasted that the group would have an unlimited number of members from across the world, divided into sub-units. These sub-units would be given an opportunity to collaborate with each other as well. In the spirit of unlimited expansion, members come from all over the world, including South Korea, Japan, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Macau, Canada and the United States.
Perfume, the mini-album and single by NCT DoJaeJung, is currently streaming on Spotify. What do you think of the two band members leaving? Let us know in the comments below.
