The new edition of the annual celebration of Korean movies, ensuing after the recent broadcast of the Grand Bell Awards 2023 aka Daejon Film Awards, has now announced the 2023 Blue Dragon Film Awards winners list (제44회 청룡영화상). Taking place on November 24, 2023, the main show event kicked off at 8:30 PM KST, right after the red carpet event, which began at 7 PM KST. Hosted by the versatile actress Kim Hye-soo for the 30th and final time, alongside A Bloody Lucky Day‘s Yoo Yeon-seok, the show began with a grand-scale performance by Street Woman Fighter 2′s dance crew 1MILLION that instantly fired up the audience’s interest in what was to follow.
Soon after that, the awarding ceremony, being held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido (Seoul), picked up pace, and here are the winners of the night! While the Ryoo Seung-wan directorial Smugglers had previously bagged the highest number of nominations with the count rising as high as 12, movies Cobweb and Concrete Utopia came in second with 11 nominations each.
