The Last Five Years

It is a musical drama which is a deconstruction of a love affair and a marriage taking place over a five-year period. Starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan as a married couple, who have broken up. Their story is told almost entirely through songs in a non-linear way.

All of Cathy’s (Anna Kendrick) songs begin at the end of their marriage and move backwards in time to the beginning of their love affair while Jamie’s (Jeremy Jordan) songs start at the beginning of their affair and move forward to the end of their marriage. You can watch this movie about fading love on Apple TV+.

500 Days of Summer

This movie is a classic example of what happens when two people who are not on the same wavelength meet. It is a twisted journey of highs and lows that doesn’t quite go where we think it will. When Tom, a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days together to try to figure out where things went wrong.
