Watching this episode might just make you lose your faith in anime. World’s End Harem Episode 9 was horrible in the worst way possible. Let’s see what made it so in this review!
World’s End Harem Episode 9 Overview

World’s End Harem or Shuumatsu No Harem in original Japanese is an Ecchi, Sci-fi, and Harem anime developed by Studio Gokumi of Tsuredure Children fame, alongside AXsiZ, which is known for shows like Seiren. World’s End Harem Episode 9 Review- Unwatchable

Never once has the no-spoiler rule felt so binding and withholding as it does here. Episodes of Attack on Titan are easier to talk about without delving into spoilers, even if the story in that show is so thorough and twist heavy. It is naturally easier to extrapolate and break apart a show when there is enough material to do so. So, for the sake of this one review, just so we can talk about something, the spoiler rule is going to be played fast and loose with.

This episode was horrible. It was as bad as anything anyone’s ever seen. There were no redeeming qualities about it, nothing that saved it, not even a single positive comment to be made about it. There is an expression called “Jumping the shark” that is misused a lot in writing and review culture these days, and while this might not have been the episode where the series started jumping the shark, it is certainly where the jump landed, and the show crashed and burned.

There used to be a point to this show, a “good” plot that was used as an excuse by its defenders. It was a shield to deflect any and all criticism thrown the show’s way, and this week is where that defence loses all of its veracity. This episode was indefensible in all manners, especially because it shot its own narrative in the foot. The narrative makes no sense anymore and is incredibly convoluted to the point where you’ll have better luck defending Fairy Tail’s animation than this.

Every bit of the investigation that the show was building in its earlier episodes through Reito and gang all came to absolutely nothing. The show threw Reito aside as a character because he wasn’t having enough sex and made the other main character, Doi, into a fiend that does nothing but has sex. How is any of that fun to watch, getting teased on both hands and being satisfied from none? At what point does a viewer just up and says, “I’m better off watching an actual hentai.” There was a point to all this sex at one point, which has seemingly disappeared into a void.

There are “twists” here that everyone saw coming from a thousand miles away, and World’s End Harem didn’t even resolve them satisfyingly. The show just threw new characters on the screen until they stuck, or in this case, fell on the floor and died. The plot is supposedly “all open” now, with all the secrets unveiled, and this episode wanted to be a massive reveal, but everything fell on its face. It turned out to be nothing but unwatchable filthy sludge that some people will still defend just because they like seeing naked girls and imagining themselves as the protagonist.
Verdict
World’s End Harem Episode 9 was horrible and unbearable. There isn’t much more to say beyond that. It is just bad pornography at this point.

Interesting review. Remember for this comment that I’m not defending it, it’s just my opinion. So basically I’d give this episode a 6.5/10 or said with school grades a 3 (C). I’m still a fan of this Hentai (Anime) but I kinda can understand your opinion but still I think it’s a bit harsh. I’ve never seen this as an Anime so I think of it as an Hentai and as a Hentai it does a good job. The Animation is good, it has a decent plot and of course “unrealistic” hot girls. Of course in episode 9 the sex scenes were weird and it kind of was confusing, also I waited for 4 episode that the school boy (Doi) mates with his assistant Karen but of course he has done it with every girl except for her and that makes me mad so I hardly can focus on other things because I get distracted by that fact. Sincerely this episode wasn’t peak fiction and a lot of weird stuff happened but in comparison to another Hentai on Hanime or HentaiHeaven it’s a great series with some spicy moments.
If you’re able to view it as hentai, I can understand how you might feel this is fine. However, it is not a hentai. it is an anime that fails to be both good hentai or an anime. There are hentais with plots a thousand times better than this, and there are anime that deal with romantic notions a million times better. This does nothing good and everything bad, hence it sucks.
