Meanwhile, Chris Evans, who played Steve Rogers/Captain America, didn’t the character in What If Episode 1. Actor Josh Keaton is the man behind Steve Rogers in Marvel’s latest series. About the same, director Bryan Andrews told Gamesradar, “We had a certain degree of freedom. Schedules are crazy, so it’s really hard to get everybody. But the ones we had come in to take over did a fantastic job.”
The director added, “The thing is, it’s trying not to bump the audience too much and have it be as much of the person they remember from the show, but having the actor bring a little something to themselves. I’m not just doing an impression. It’s not about impressions, right? They have to actually act the moments and deliver some of the emotional intent.”
Andrews also told THR that he wishes to see a live-action Captain Carter movie. He shared, “I know A.C. and I feel totally the same in this, and while we don’t know if this is necessarily going to happen, it would be amazing if they would just do a Captain Carter movie.”
