In the Vadhuvu series, Indu gets married to a man named Anand. It’s not a typical cheerful wedding, as we can sense some suspense in the air. Indu’s new family is hiding some dark secrets.
The more time she spends with them, the more shocking facts she learns about Anand and his family. What exactly are Indu’s in-laws hiding? Is her life in danger?
The first two episodes keep you intrigued by the suspicious nature of Indu, her past, and Anand’s family. The non-linear narrative also plays a key role in leaving you curious about what’s exactly happening.
However, as the series progresses, it ends up looking like a typical daily soap opera. The story refuses to dig any further and doesn’t really give a clear idea about what’s exactly happening.
To keep the mystery factor intact, the makers also hint at supernatural activities. Initially, the doubts are laid on Indu’s sister, who is completely eliminated from the story once she gets married.
Towards the end, the series leaves you highly disappointed. It has become the norm to end shows on cliffhangers without giving a clear idea of the intent of everything wrong that is happening on the screen.
After 7 episodes, the only idea you get is that Anand, his brother Arya, and the entire family are hiding something. This is exactly what we learn from the second episode itself.
It’s a confusing mystery thriller that ends on an unnecessary cliffhanger.
