69th National Film Awards Winners List 

The 69th National Film Awards was announced on August 24, 2023. A total of 280 films from 28 languages were submitted for the awards in year 2021 of which winners for the prestigious honour have now been revealed including the categories of Best Feature Film, Best Actress and Actor. 

The winners' list also included honours such as Best Non-Feature Film which was bagged by Garwali and Hindi film Ek Tha Gaon. Also, the Best Hindi Film win was bagged by Sardar Udham. Check out who turned out to be the big winners.

The Best Actor award was bagged by Allu Arjun for his performance in Pushpa. The film experienced massive success at the box office and was directed by Sukumar. A sequel of the film is also in the works.

Best Actor 

The Best Actress Award was shared by two Bollywood actresses this year. While Alia Bhatt received the honour for Gangubai Kathiawadi, she shared the same with Kriti Sanon for her performance in Mimi.

The Best Feature Film honour was awarded to R. Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The biographical drama film, was based on the story of aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan and starred Madhavan in lead who also directed it.

The Best Supporting Actor honours were bagged by Pallavi Joshi for her performance in The Kashmir Files. In the same category, the Best Supporting Actor Male Award was won by Pankaj Tripathi for Mimi.

A special Jury Award was given to Shershaah directed by Vishnuvardhan which starred Sidharth Malhotra in lead. The film was based on the life of Capt. Vikram Batra who was killed in action in the Kargil War.

In another important category, the Best Music Director honour was bagged by Devi Sri Prasad for the soundtrack of Pushpa. The film consisted of several popular songs that became chartbusters including, O Antava, Srivalli and Saami Saami among others.

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi became a big winner at the National Awards. After Alia Bhatt's Best Actress win it also won the Best Editor Award for the director himself. The movie had already won praises after its theatrical release from critics and audiences alike.

Best Editor Award

RRR bagged three major honours at the 69th National Awards. The film won awards for Action Direction, Choreography as well and Special Effects. The S. S. Rajamouli directorial was recognised at the National Awards after it also won international honours such as Best Original Song Oscar and a Golden Globe.
