Types of Grooming Tools and Products to Keep You Looking Human

The pandemic has made it difficult for people to go about their usual business and one of the things that has suffered greatly, as a result, is people’s grooming habits. This has led to a number of people either letting go of themselves or seeking ways to groom themselves at home.

People are finding it difficult to take care of their image and grooming during the lockdown since they don’t want to risk going to establishments such as salons or barbershops. This has led to a lot of people going for low maintenance haircuts and taking care of their image at home, but many people are unsure of the type of grooming tools and products to use while doing so.

It doesn’t mean that you have to buy really expensive grooming products and tools, it just means that you have to be more particular about the products and tools you use. Let’s have a look at the top grooming tools and products to keep you well-groomed during this pandemic.

Eye cream

Although people are spending a lot of time at home while under lockdown, it doesn’t mean they are sleeping more and that is why eye cream is something that you should definitely invest in. Eye cream is a good grooming product that excels at getting rid of puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles, and most importantly the dark circles under your eyes.

Eye creams will prevent you from looking like a zombie even if you sleep only 4 hours a day, although we would advise against such sleeping patterns. Most people argue that the moisturizers used for your skin should work just as well as an eye cream but regular creams and moisturizers may damage or irritate the fine skin around your eyes.

Shampoo and conditioner

If you are growing out your hair during the pandemic, then having a proper shampoo and conditioner is a must-have item, to keep your hair healthy and voluminous. This makes it easier to actually take care of your hair and properly style or groom it. If you don’t take proper care of your hair, then you could end up with thinning hair, hair fall, dry scalp, dandruff or scalp infections.

Beard Trimmer

Beard trimmers are a man’s best friend while socially distancing from the barbershop. They are probably one of the more important grooming tools that men will want to invest in during the lockdown. It helps keep the beard neat and clean while trimming down the excess hair.

It also helps you style your facial hair the way you want to while at home. It may be a good idea to watch some tutorials on YouTube to get your desired result. If you do not trim your beard on a regular basis, it will look unkempt and become hard to manage. Matted hair can also result in the accumulation of dirt, thus increasing the chance of infections.

Nose Hair Trimmer

Much like your beard, your nose hair may be growing out of control and while you don’t need to style it, it is a grooming tool that you should have to keep trimmed and to look neat and clean. Most people would find a pair of small scissors and go for it but it’s safer and more practical to buy a nose hair trimmer.

The nose hair trimmer will help you get rid of the hair that can be seen by others and keep the hair that you need that protects the inside of your nose from foreign particles. It’s better to trim the nose hair than pluck it out because plucking can lead to an infection in the nose.

Nail clippers/cutters

Something that many people forget about is taking care of their nails, both on the feet and hands. That habit is something that you should change by investing in a good pair of nail cutters that can take care of both your feet and hands. If you have ingrown nails or nails that are particularly thick, there are brands that have nail clippers that can deal with that as well. It is extremely important to keep your nails cut and clean. If you don’t cut your nails regularly and keep them clean, it may lead to painful ingrown nails or fungal/bacterial infections.

These are just some of the many types of products and tools that you should invest in during the lockdown while taking care of your own look and hygiene.
