Twenty Five Twenty One: All You Need to Know About Netflix’s Upcoming Romantic K-Drama

Netflix’s latest K-Drama Twenty Five Twenty One is arriving on the streaming giant soon. The OTT space has been famous for some very interesting and entertaining K-Dramas starting from Crash Landing on You to Hometown Cha Cha Cha. Recently, Korean horror shows such as Squid Game, Hellbound and All of Us Are Dead have also taken over the platform to impress viewers. For the month of February, they have some quality titles lined up and, this is one of them.

The series is directed by Jung Ji-hyun, developed jointly by Kim Young-kyu and Studio Dragon and, written by Kwon Do-eun. With Hwa&Dam Pictures serving as the production company, let us have a look at the release date, cast, plot and other relevant details about the show.

The main cast of the show is a reputed one with The Handmaiden’s Kim Tae-ri playing Na Hee-do, Moon Lovers’ Nam Joo-hyuk playing Baek Yi-jin, Hit the Top’s Bona playing Go Yoo-rim and, Missing: The Other Side’s Lee Joo-myung in the role of Ji Seung-wan. The supporting cast includes Seo Jae-hee as Shin Jae-kyung, Kim Hye-eun as Yang Chan-mi and, Choi Myung-bin as Kim Min-chae along with Park Yoon-hee as Baek Yi-jin’s father and Park Jun-pyo as Baek Yi-jin’s uncle.

Twenty Five Twenty One Plot/Synopsis

Netflix’s description of the show reads: “In a time when dreams seem out of reach, a teen fencer pursues big ambitions and meets a hardworking young man who seeks to rebuild his life”. Netflix calls the show romantic, intimate and inspiring. In the show, we will witness the romantic lives of five characters spanning over the years 1998 to 2021.

The series will arrive on Netflix on February 12, 2022. It is going to be 16 episodes long, airing every Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 (KST). The runtime for each episode is going to be 70 minutes.
