The Zone Survival Mission Episode 8 Review: The Final Catastrophe

The Zone Survival Mission is an all-new variety show that is here to make you laugh like no other, but that is not the only thing that it does. Directed by Cho Hyojin and Kim Dongjin, starring the Running Man series Lee Kwang-soo and Yoo Jae-suk along with Kwon Yuri.

The Zone Survival Mission takes the players to different zones with a specific stimulation that triggers challenges for the group. All they have to do is survive for four hours in the disaster-simulated virtual space.

Disney+Hotstar’s synopsis of the show reads:

IN A DISASTER-SIMULATED VIRTUAL SPACE, MEMBERS HAVE TO SURVIVE FOUR HOURS IN THE UNKNOWN.

The Zone Survival Mission episode 8 brings in the show’s season finale as well as the most dangerous catastrophe to have ever existed for mankind. Lee Kwang-soo, Yoo Jae-suk and Kwon Yuri are all set to fight some professionals in this war-like zone that they have entered today.

The Target Zone brings together 6 professional shooters from different backgrounds like sports, special forces, and so on While readying themselves to eliminate the three members and each other in this zone. Geared up in paintball equipment, the 9 players enter the zone one after another to find their base and get ready to attack others.

Entering separately, Jae-suk looks around the area while Kwang-suk hides near the entrance and Yuri goes around looking for item boxes. Soon after all the members enter the zone, AI U aka Yoo Hee-yeol makes a special entrance and while playing the piano in the middle of this war zone while having a fun time playing around Jae-suk.

The members soon gather up while the other 6 members continue to play the game without forming any alliance. However, when Julien Kang shoots Yuri out of the game, the alliance is broken and the two men are left playing the game.

Jae-suk makes himself the MVP today by taking down on some of the best players while Kwang-soo follows him from behind. However, it is revealed in the end that he always had Jae-suk as his target which resulted in Kwang-soo being the one to get shot down by his target.

Defeating all the professionals, mankind wins with Jae-suk and Yuri scolding Kang-soo at the end. With the missions coming to an end, the AI U gifts the members with Z coins made out of gold and hopes to see us again soon.

Summing Up: The Zone Survival Mission Episode 8

This was the last episode of this season of The Zone Survival Mission and we have to say that this is a show worth watching. With the final episode bringing us to one of mankind’s deadliest catastrophes, the members all speak of No War because it is not easy to survive in this zone.

Bringing the last zone to us all, the show has come to an end until it returns with more zone and more simulations.
