The Uncanny Counter Season 2 (경이로운 소문 2: 카운터 펀치) brings the return of the supernatural mystery comedy-drama of the same name directed by Yoo Seon-dong. The show stars Cho Kyeong-kyu, Yoo Joon-sang, Kim Se-jeong, Yeom Hye-ran, Ahn Suk-hwan, and Yoo In-soo in the lead roles alongside other cast members.

The sequel continues the story of the group of Counters who catch evil spirits from the afterlife who have come searching for immortality. With new members joining the gang and bigger evils coming their way, the Counters are ready for a counterattack and stop anyone who comes their way.

While last weekend brought in a lot of ups and downs for us all, Episode 10 brought in a big twist this season with the villain being taken to the next level. While our wishes of the “good guy” returning to being good were shattered, there is no doubt that our excitement for the merged-up villain is taking off the roof.

Now, with the season coming to an end, the last push to our excitement is coming up as the Counters are ready to face off their worst enemy yet. As we wish for a happy ending for the Counters and Ma Ju-seok, we also look forward to what changes this season will bring for everyone.

With this, here’s what we predict will happen in the finale weekend of The Uncanny Counter season 2!

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episodes 11 and 12 Predictions

The Uncanny Counter season 2 episode 10 ended on a spectacular note, with Pil-gwang entering Ju-seok’s body and taking over it along with the evil spirit’s power. However, the Counters have no idea about this and from the look at the preview, So Mun is heading to face a tough decision.

However, he does not hide away from his responsibilities and takes up the task of ending this evil himself. Thus, coming back face-to-face, So Mun and Pil-gwang are ready to end this season with their biggest fight yet. But there’s more to come as So Mun takes care of Pil-gwang, there’s much more happening this weekend. So let’s take a look a what could happen this weekend!

Mo-tak’s Anger

One of the biggest happenings of this weekend has to be Mo-tak’s anger which would reach its peak with So Mun persisting on saving Ju-seok and Pil-gwang wreaking havoc everywhere with Ju-seok’s face only making it worse. From the preview, we can see Pil-gwang harming Mo-tak’s subordinate and this results in forming a crack in the Counter’s relationship as So Mun persists in saving Ju-seok, unaware that he is no longer the man he wishes to save.

However, the bond these Counters share is not so easy to break and we can be sure that it won’t take long for them to come back together as So Mun too faces the truth of Pil-gwang’s existence inside Ju-seok. This truth will play a major role in the final episodes and will also become a turning point altogether.

The Counters

With another season coming to an end, the Counters family will end another chapter. However, this time it doesn’t seem like it will end on a to-be-continued note for these very members as some characters have been hinting at a possible retirement all season. Yes, Mo-tak and Mae-ok might soon quit their jobs are Counters and this is definitely going to be quite heartbreaking for us.

While we do wish that this would not happen, the hints have been dropped all season long and the possibility is surely high. Mae-ok having a hard time healing others and Mo-tak finds himself unable to keep up with the energetic youth. This season might give us a sad ending for these two.

Mo Ju-seok

Probably the biggest villain this season who definitely brought us the biggest twists and turns, Mo Ju-seok started this season with a sunny smile and is moving towards an end where we might see the same smile very soon. With Pil-gwang taking over his body, there is a high chance that we might see Ju-seok’s life soon coming to an end.

What this means is a reunion for Ju-seok who gets to see his beloved wife again in the Yun and bring back his bright sunny smile. While a little bittersweet, this ending would definitely be perfect for him. The other possibility is also being rescued from Pil-gwang and living out life with his mother while waiting to reunite with Min-ji.

So Mun

Finally, our protagonist and beloved Counter So Mun will be facing his biggest challenge yet. Pil-gwang’s powers were already a challenge to him, but with Pil-gwang taking over the evil spirit’s powers inside Ju-seok, there is no doubt that So Mun needs to prepare for the biggest task yet.

However, being our protagonist, he is surely to win over this villain and bring peace and quiet to the Counters very soon. On the other hand, he will have to see a lot many goodbyes in the upcoming finale, as well as a new start for the team as a whole. We might also see him welcoming some new members soon.
