The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XXXIII: Death Note Parody That Shouldn’t Be Missed

Hit American sitcom The Simpsons have brought a special Death Note parody for its Treehouse of Horror XXXIII edition that is just impossible to miss. The short teaser shows some of the iconic characters from the unforgettable anime which is being loved by fans of the show and the anime alike.

According to TV Line, on October 30, 2022, that is Sunday’s Treehouse of Horror XXXIII will include a special Death Note segment and this clip was exclusive to what is to come. The clip shows the iconic character Yagami Light holding a parody version of the notebook named Death Tome after having killed someone with the help of the book.

He soon meets the dark spirit Ryuk, however, the spirit’s name in this parody is Steve Johnson and the two quickly form a friendship. They soon move on to enter the dining room where Light’s family has got fans flooding the comment section.

Watch The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XXXIII Parody of Death Note

If you don’t already know about the anime then Death Note is a supernatural horror which follows the story of a high schooler Yagami Light who finds a mysterious book. Light is shocked to find that this book is laced with magical powers that are capable of killing anyone whose name is written in it.

He soon meets the real owner of the book who is the dark spirit Ryuk who reveals that only those who touch the book can see him and that he dropped it on earth for his amusement. Now with the powers of the book, Light writes the names of all those whom he deems to be immoral and goes on to create an ideal society that has no crime in it.

However, this leads to a worldwide massacre which alerts special forces who are now on a look for the person behind the deaths of these people. Light now has to face the ongoing investigation while trying to save himself from the clutches of the investigators and continuing his noble work of destroying evil from society.

However, this is a work that requires sacrifices and Light isn’t one to shy away from that.

The teaser of the upcoming parody has really got fans of the anime excited as they cannot wait for what The Simpsons will bring to this iconic anime. We too are looking forward to the American touch the anime is going to get and hope that it won’t get messed up another time.
