The fourth film in The Matrix film franchise, produced, co-written and directed by Lana Wachowski, and picks up almost a decade and more after The Matrix Revolutions.
The trailer, as well as posters, have revealed that Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith reprise in their roles from previous films as Neo, Trinity and Niobe, respectively. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is going to play Morpheus that was previously played by Laurence Fishburne. Apart from that, we have some completely new faces that include Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Christina Ricci.
Meanwhile, as the cast and crew are wrapping up their 1st Day Tashin Matrix Press (Week!) Tour in New York, we have Priyanka Chopra revealing her pill choice and confirming certain speculations. Let us have a look at what the Quantico star had to say!
The Matrix Resurrections’ Priyanka Chopra Reveals Her Pill Choice
All Matrix are thorough with the concept of Blue Pill and Red Pill. For the ones who are not aware, the Blue Pill lets you live in ignorance of the Matrix whereas the Red Pill offers you the truth. And, well, just like Neo, PeeCee has made her choice.
It has been confirmed by the poster that Priyanka Chopra Jonas is going to be playing the grown-up version of Sati- the exile program we first meet in Matrix Revolutions, when Neo wakes up in Mobil Avenue train station, later the little girl also at The Oracle’s apartment before Smith ambushes the building and at last, we see her at the end of the film where she asks about Neo potentially suggesting the Matrix 4 happening long back.
It is not a shock that Sati has picked the Red Pill as there have been speculations that PeeCee will be playing the new Oracle in the film. Even the reality of the Oracle is the fact that she is the unbalanced equation in the Matrix, it only makes sense that an exile program takes up her place. However, the Red Pill choice furthermore confirms these speculations.
Furthermore, the Oracle was always seen with a red candy in the films and this could just be a nod towards that. Also, given how Johnathan Groff’s character is possibly a renewed Agent Smith program, Sati becoming the Oracle would make sense. Even in the final trailer for The Matrix Resurrections, Priyanka Chopra’s character is shadowed by a red light!
