The HBO Original is back with another episode, and fans are ready to make their voices heard. Here are The Last of Us episode 4 Twitter reactions to show you exactly how dedicated fans are to this show. Viewers have already decreed this to be the best game adaptation till now, and has become so popular that HBO renewed the show for a second season just after the second episode premiered. The show follows the duo Joel and Ellie as they make their way to safe haven.
The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Nick Offerman, Anna Torv and Merle Dandridge, alongside other cast members. The show is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. This episode also stars the wonderful Melanie Lynskey, who has been getting love from the audience for making the show more queer following the last episode’s legacy.
HBO Max’s synopsis of the series reads, “The Last of Us takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.” In this week’s episode, Ellie and Joel take a trip to Wyoming when they are stopped by a QZ in Kansas City.

There is a tense situation where Joel has to navigate a shootout, and Ellie makes her first shot using a gun in this episode. There may not be many clickers in this episode, but it has become clear that Joel and Ellie’s dynamic is infectious (Will Livingston is so happy with this pun). Additionally, this episode shows new players in the game. Perhaps the question is whether the duo make their way to Wyoming and find his brother or not. The fireflies are lost, and FEDRA has been getting sloppy with their security.
This episode definitely looks at Joel and Ellie’s relationship closely. He terms her to be cargo yet takes care of her as any guardian figure would do for a ward. Even though he may not want to admit it yet, Ellie is getting through to him. After her first attempt at murder, Joel is confused about her persistence to get a weapon, and it finally makes sense why he didn’t want her to. He never wanted her to know what it would be like to murder someone, and that is about as caring as anyone can get.
