The First Responders Episode 7 Recap

The episode picks up from where episode 6 ends, Jin Ho-gae surrendering himself to the police, but he comes along with the person that he thinks is the actual culprit. Upon investigation, it was found that the man was not related to the crime scene, and Ho-gae was still under suspicion. Until Yoon Hong arrives at the station and informs that the blood found at the crime scene was planted; eventually, it is deduced that each piece of evidence found was set up in a way to frame Ho-gae.

After Jindo Dog was free, without wasting any time, he started investigating the case to find out who is the actual culprit. Later it was proved that the victim found at the crime scene was murdered, but he committed suicide. Hence the suspicion of arson and murder was ruled out. But there was someone behind the arrangement of the situation and planting of the shreds of evidence meticulously.

The romance between the characters also starts to bloom, especially between Song Seol and Ho-gae but it does not go far as Jindo Dog’s main priority is to find the culprit. He started looking for evidence which led him to believe that it was all Ma Tae-hwa’s plan from the beginning. His intention was not just to arrest him on suspicion but with a full-proof plan that would indict him for murder.

After much difficulty, they find the evidence that will put Ma Tae-Hwa behind bars. As Ho-gae and his team reach the premises to arrest him, they meet with an unruly crowd of people escaping the building due to a fire. They somehow manage to pass it, and Ho-gae reaches the rooftop where Tae-hwa is waiting for the helicopter to escape in.

They get into a fistfight which leads to Ho-gae getting seriously injured, and he is rushed to the hospital. The doctors, after spending hours in the operating room, said that his injury was too deep, which would cause him brain damage. The police were unable to arrest Tae-hwa and he walked free from the station.
