The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Fans Trend #ReleaseTheZemoCut, Here’s Why

In the past years, we have seen #Releasethesnydercut being a regular trend on social media. Recently, fans were trending #ReleasetheAyerCut for David Ayer’s unreleased cut on The Suicide Squad (2016). The Falcon and The Winter Soldier fans are now trending #ReleaseTheZemoCut on Twitter. It’s a weird trend, isn’t it? But what prompted the Marvel fans to do so? Read on.

Episode 3 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showed us the re-entry of Captain America: Civil War villain Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl). In one of the scenes, when they are out to find Power Broker’s information in Madripoor, a place full of criminals, Zemo was dancing in a pub. The scene also featured Sam (Anthony Mackie), Bucky (Sebastian Stan) and Sharon Carter (Emily Vancamp), who were focused on their mission. After the episode, fans couldn’t stop raving about Zemo’s cool moves.

When actor Daniel Brühl was asked about the scene, the actor revealed that he had improvised it. In fact, he had no clue that Marvel will include it in the episode. Daniel also shared that the scene is longer, but only a few seconds are shown. “I enjoyed so much the reaction of Anthony [Mackie] and Sebastian [Stan] looking at me. Still, I was 100 per cent sure that they would cut it out [of the show]. I was really surprised and happy that they kept it. It was a long dance. There’s more to it, but they cut this little moment,” shared The Falcon And The Winter Soldier star.

Ever since Daniel revealed more to his dancing sequence, fans are asking Marvel to release the entire footage with the hashtag #ReleasetheZemoCut. One fan tweeted, “Daniel Bruhl said there’s a longer cut of him dancing in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Twitter, you know what to do. #ReleaseTheZemoCut.”

Another wrote, “I can’t believe there’s more footage of Zemo dancing just lying around at marvel’s studios… RELEASE THE FULL CUT COWARDS @MarvelStudios #ReleaseTheZemoCut.”

One more fan tweeted, “This is the first time I’ve ever encouraged a “cut” to be released, and those sweet Zemo dance moves need to be seen. It’s imperative to the storyline … #ReleaseTheZemoCut”.

Well, that’s the power of social media and a strong fanbase. All we can do is wait for Assembled: The Making of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier to release and see if they have included Zemo’s full dance sequence or not. The episode will come out once the TFATWS ends.

Meanwhile, there are 3 more episodes left of Marvel’s second Phase 4 series. In January, Elizabeth Wilson and Paul Bettany’s WandaVision released, which received a great response from fans and critics worldwide. Up next in June, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will make its debut on Disney+. Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow is now pushed back to July release as the pandemic is back with its phase 2 in many countries.
