The Divided Country Unites In Money Heist Korea – Joint Economic Area, Trailer Released!

The release of Money Heist Korea is just around the corner and on 20th May 2022, Netflix greeted us with an official trailer of the much anticipated series. We finally get to see the characters talk and their background for the heist. In the previous teasers and stills, we could only get a glimpse of the gang and their intentions.

A remake of the popular Spanish series La Casa De La Papel, Money Heist Korea – Joint Economic Area will be based in Korea. Korean dramas are already popular for their stories, direction and characters. With that, fans of Money Heist are excited and have been wondering how will the Korean makers recreate and re-imagine this iconic series.

In the trailer released on Netflix’s YouTube Channel, we get shocking news of North Korea and South Korea joining hands and reuniting the divided country, in order to end the war and create peace again. This comes with the countries also reuniting their economies and creating one single currency for all. However, this step has become a problem for commoners as expenses rise again. The commoners believe the rich keeps on getting richer and commoners still have to struggle to save their money.

The commoners from South Korea and North Korea unite to fight against capitalism and make a plan of a heist to teach politicians a lesson and also get rich themselves.

Netflix describes the series as, “A heist without limits. A bold new vision of the ultimate heist. In a country without borders.”

Money Heist Korea stars Park Hae-soo, Yoo Ji-tae, Jeon Jong-so, Lee Wong-jong, Kim Ji-hoon, Jang Yoon-ju, Lee Hyun-woo, Kim Ji-hun and Lee Kyu-ho. Money Heist Korea- Joint Economic Area Part 1 will be released on 24th June 2022 on Netflix.
