The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 7 is titled ‘The Clone Conspiracy’. The Star Wars series on Disney+ Hotstar is created by Dave Filoni. The new episode is written by Ezra Nachman and directed by Nathaniel Villanueva. Dee Bradley Baker has voiced Cade, Slip and other Clone Troopers. Jennifer Hale is the voice for Senator Chuchi, and Noshir Dalal has lent his voice to Vice Admiral Rampart.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 7 starts with two clones at the facility discussing how the entire galaxy believes Rampart’s lies, including the Senate. Clone Cade believes it’s not right. The other clone Slip tells his friend to let it go as they cannot do anything about it. But Cade asks how he can let it go as Kamino was their home, and they destroyed it. Cade doesn’t feel good about destroying cities and people. He tells his friend that he can’t stay silent any longer.
Cade tells Slip that he sent a message to Rampart and gave him a chance to tell the Senate the truth before he did it himself. Slip is worried for Cade and reminds him of what Rampart is capable of. He asks Slip for help, but suddenly some clone troopers shoot Cade. They start firing at Slip, who survives the attack and escapes on a vehicle.
At the Galactic Senate, discussions are going on about the clone troopers. Admiral Rampart proposes the Defense Recruitment Bill. They discuss having recruits who will comprise the people and fight for them. Senator Pamlo does not support the bill and tells them that the war is over. Senator Organa comes in support of the Pamlo. Organa questions where Emperor is during such discussions. Senator Chuchi even asks why clone troopers are not included in the discussion.
The members say that the clone troopers are incapable and need to be shut down. But Senator Chuchi is not in support of this suggestion. She questions how they can commission a new army and let go of the clones. Admiral Rampart intervenes and assures that the provisions for the bill are in place to aid the clones as they begin to phase out. Senator Chuchi asks him if he discussed with the Clones about the decision. Rampart tells her he will help her talk to the clones about their concerns.
Senator Organa motions to table the vote on the Defense Recruitment Bill. Senator Pamlo supports his decision. Later, Admiral Rampart assures another member that no matter what Senator Chuchi does, the legislation will never know about what happened at Kamino, and the bill will get passed.
After the session in The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 7, Senator Chuchi tells clones about what happened at the Senate. The clones are furious. They refuse to take her help. She tells the clones that they have to think of what they’ll do when they’re old. She is ready to fight for them. The clones agree to stand by her. Slip later sneaks out and tells Senator Chuchi that Rampart is a liar. He tells the Senator that a storm didn’t destroy Kamino, but Rampart destroyed it. He tells her how he ordered the clones to destroy the city. Slip tells her Cade, who wanted to expose Rampart, was shot and died.

Senator Chuchi meets up with Admiral Rampart and tells him about her idea of pension and safety for the clones. The Senator asks Rampart how did he survive the storm at the Kamino. He tells the Senator that he is participating in a training exercise off-world. If he had been there, he would have saved more lives. The Senator tells him many lives were lost, which was beyond tragic. Her questions about Kamino irk the Admiral.
Senator Chuchi receives a secure communication to meet at an undisclosed location from Senator Organa. Senator Organa tells her that she caused quite a stir at the session. Chuchi taunts him, saying how speaking up for the right is now causing a stir, unlike inaction, apathy or ignorance. He asks Chuchi about how the meeting went with Admiral Rampart. He tells the Senator that Rampart is skilled at saying the right things. Senator Organa tells Senator Chuchi about the whispers about Rampart and how clone rights are a part of the much bigger picture.
Senator Organa tells Senator Chuchi about how Kamino got destroyed, despite surviving catastrophic storms in the past. Senator Chuchi tells him about the clone who told her everything that happened at Kamino. She tells Organa that the clone (Slip) is hiding, and her guards are searching for him. Organa tells the Senator to be careful as she might not be the only one looking for him.
A clone gives the message to Admiral Rampart that Senator Chuchi’s clones are also looking for the clone (Slip). Rampart tells him to follow her and, if she finds the clone, handle it. Slip, in hiding, connects with someone on the comm call and asks for help. Senator Chuchi finds Slip and asks for his help against Rampart. Slip refuses to help and tells her that he’s leaving from here. Slip is shocked at how the Senator found him and is worried that the Empire will find him too.
Slip tells Senator Chuchi that he can’t help her as they already killed Cade, his life is now in danger, and hers will be too. He asks her to leave, but the Senator refuses to go. She tries to convince Slip to help her. But suddenly, Rampart’s clone shoots Slip. Senator Chuchi’s guards protect her, and they try to escape, but the attack follows. Her guard gets killed.
As Senator Chuchi runs to save her life, someone shoots the clone with a blaster gun. The person turns out to be Captain Rex. It turns out that Slip had asked Captain Rex for help and was going to escape with him. She tells him about Kamino and Rampart. Also, the person who attacked them wasn’t a clone trooper. Captain Rex tells the Senator they must hide him somewhere to find out more.
The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 7 ends with Captain Rex taking the man to a garage. When the man is conscious, Rex asks him who he is and whose orders he is following. But the man doesn’t say anything. The man presses his teeth, and an electric current is generated, and he kills himself.
Star Wars’ The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 7 Review: Final Thoughts
The new episode is one of the best ones so far. We get a clear idea of why the Empire lost trust in the clones. The episode is a major hint about the fall of clone troopers. Admiral Rampart is unstoppable with his cruelty. The Empire has always been ugly, and the episode is just another major proof of the same.
