Taxi Driver Season 3 Episode 4 Recap
Episode 4 dives straight into action as Do-gi walks into Noblesse Car, a flashy dealership run by Cha and his shady crew. Without even asking the price, Do-gi casually purchases a car, portraying himself as a naïve customer who has more money than judgment. His reckless eagerness immediately catches the attention of Cha’s employees.
However, once Do-gi hits the road with his new wheels, the car’s horrifying flaws reveal themselves. The handbrake fails, causing a minor accident just enough to make him suspicious but not seriously injured. When the Rainbow Taxi team examines the vehicle later, they uncover severe internal damage hidden beneath the polished exterior. The dealership has clearly been selling dangerously defective cars for profit, putting innocent buyers at risk.

Determined to expose the truth, Do-gi continues his undercover act. He returns repeatedly to Noblesse Car, each time with a different emotional story: one day he’s buying a car for his beloved girlfriend, the next he’s a heartbroken man trying to distract himself with expensive purchases. His unpredictable behaviour keeps the salesmen on edge, planting seeds of doubt about who he really is.
Eventually, Cha’s men begin tailing Do-gi after one such visit. They follow him to a secluded industrial site, completely unaware that they’re walking straight into a Rainbow Taxi operation. There, Do-gi unloads the cars and inserts the keys into a vending machine that spits out extra cash, a false setup crafted by Go-eun and the team. It appears as though Do-gi has discovered a loophole to make a guaranteed 10% profit per vehicle. The ruse works perfectly, feeding Cha’s curiosity and greed.
Unable to figure out the truth, Cha’s men capture Do-gi during another sales visit. Tying him to a chair, they question him aggressively, demanding to know who he is working for and what happens to the cars. Do-gi keeps up his clueless façade, claiming he simply takes the 10% bonus and reinvests it into buying more cars. The men speculate wildly: smuggling? Illegal exports? But he gives them nothing.

After leaving him restrained while they argue outside, Do-gi pulls off a slick escape and secretly contacts Go-eun. Immediately, she triggers the next step in their plan: a breaking news alert announces that a local car dealership has suffered heavy flood damage. This news sends Cha into a frenzy; he sees a golden opportunity.
Cha rushes to the location, unaware that the Rainbow Taxi team is already there waiting. He inspects the affected cars and finds genuine signs of water damage. Seong-cheol, posing as the financially ruined dealership owner, plays his role flawlessly. Delighted with the prospect of cheap stock he can refurbish and resell at inflated prices, Cha buys the lot.
But before the deal is complete, Seong-cheol demands all the additional hidden fees and unfair charges that Cha himself usually extorts from customers. When Cha refuses, Do-gi suddenly emerges from the shadows. Realisation hits Cha instantly; he has been expertly lured into a trap.
A brawl breaks out when Cha orders his men to attack, but the Rainbow Taxi team swiftly overwhelms them. Cha calls for reinforcements, hired thugs, but Do-gi draws them into a tunnel where the team lies in wait. A brutal showdown follows, with the Rainbow crew defeating every last fighter.

Once subdued, Cha and his men regain consciousness crammed inside one of their own defective vehicles. Do-gi confronts them as panic rises. He forces them to notice the truth: the airbags are stitched back together, the brakes don’t work and the engine is unstable. Before they can escape, the car surges forward uncontrollably, speeding into the night, a chilling taste of the danger they forced on innocent buyers.
With justice served, Mr Oh finally returns to driving honestly, earning a living to support his daughter’s dreams. The Rainbow team celebrates another victory over grilled meat and drinks, momentarily enjoying peace.
But the episode doesn’t end in comfort. In a dim and eerie clock shop, a grieving man clutches a broken Pinocchio doll and a small leather strip reading: “Don’t die. Get revenge.” Tears fall as he vows to kill those responsible, a dark promise that hints at the next threat awaiting the team.
The fight is far from over.

Taxi Driver Season 3 Episode 4 Review
Episode 4 delivers a satisfying, hard-hitting reckoning for the car-scam syndicate, blending clever undercover planning with brutal vigilante justice. The way Kim Do-gi (and the rest of Rainbow Taxi) unravels the scam, from purchasing a dangerously defective car to laying a trap for the criminals, shows off their meticulous strategy and moral outrage. The dramatic reveal of the defective vehicles and the climactic showdown in the underpass give the episode a dark, cathartic punch, emphasising that those who exploit innocent people will eventually face dire consequences.
What makes this episode stand out is how it ties justice with irony. The scamsters are punished using the very tools of their crime, damaged cars, forcing them to face their greed in the most literal way. Then, amidst the darkness and violence, the final epilogue hints at something deeper: a grieving victim vowing vengeance, reminding viewers that the battle against injustice is never truly over. It leaves a looming sense of threat and plenty of anticipation for what’s to come next.
