Sonny Boy is a modern masterpiece, and time will be very kind to it. There hasn't been an anime that encapsulated the feeling of being a teenager and a God as Sonny Boy did. This one is worth your time and so much more.
Sonny Boy Episode 12 was everything that it needed to be and everything that it ever could be. The episode was as close to a work of art as an anime can get, and the same can be said about the entire show.
Sonny Boy Episode 11 was a legitimate masterpiece of storytelling and character moments. It was the best episode of a series that has already seen its share of incredible episodes.
Sonny Boy Episode 10 was phenomenal in answering some questions it asked us before and then asking us several new ones after answering. It was an uneasy watch at times as it confronted people with their mortality and the consequences of their actions. Then again, when is it not an uneasy watch?
Sonny Boy Episode 9 was everything you would expect a Sonny Boy episode to be - confusing, breathtaking, and fascinating. The series is on its way to its conclusion, although I'm no closer to charting its course than I was at Episode 1. C'est la vie.
Sonny Boy Episode 8 was fantastic, but I wouldn’t recommend watching it alone at night with lights shut off. Not because it was scary, but because it was utterly dreadful and terrifying. You have been warned.
