Snowdrop: BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Jung Hae Look Intense In the Character Posters Out

The upcoming k-drama series ‘Snowdrop’ features BLACKPINK’s band member Jisoo, along with ‘While You Were Sleeping’ actor Jung Hae-in. Premiering on JTBC for a December release the premise of the story is very much going to be in accordance with a tragic love story which can be clearly seen in the new character posters. The series is going to be set against the 1987 Democracy Movement picking up on the sad storyline of the main characters along with the wave of politics and authoritarian government.

The cast is well recognized which includes Yoo In-na, Jang Seung-jo, Kim Hye-yoon, Yoon Se-ah, and Jung Yoo-jin alongside our BLACKPINK girl and Jung Hae. The new character posters that have dropped for our protagonist express the tragic fate of our characters. Served with short but meaningful captions, the close-up shots of the characters have made viewers curious about what lies ahead.

With forlorn expressions and broken glass pieces on the side, the blue-black palette of the poster hint towards an impending doom our characters are going to face. The poster also introduces the characters’ names to us: Jisoo as Eun Young-ro and Im Su-ho. As one of them aims for their fate, the other aims for love.

Jisoo looks resigned in the poster, whereas Jung Hae-in looks anguished, which might be a representation of how the characters are initially going to feel on screen. The series is a black comedy written by Yoo Hyun-mi and directed by Jo Hyun-tak. It is scheduled to be available on JTBC from December 18, 2021, and will also be available on some select streaming markets on Disney+.
