The music video starts off with the singer sitting in his room and playing the guitar, followed by the scene of him walking around the city. Through this mv, he has shown off a new avatar of a free-spirited indie artist, donning a few tattoos up his arm, wearing a black leather jacket with some funky tinted shades and carrying his treasured guitar on his back.
The lyrics of the song talk about how the singer is faking, not to be affected by the ‘small things’ but in reality, the little things burrow in his heart and start to grow. Like the footsteps of the person that he likes, make his mornings feel better. Or his lover’s smile is like a ray of sunshine for him, clearing away the dark clouds. The lyric says that he wants to stick together as when the small things come together, they shine so brightly.
Talking about the aesthetics of the video, we could see an indie music video vibe like the singer’s character. It starts off with a cold bluish tone but as the song progresses and so do the character’s feelings, we see a change with enthusiastic yellow and orange vibrancy in tone. On a side note, Yesung seems to be ageing backwards as he looks quite young in this song particularly, with long hair and oversized tee outfits.
