SHINee The Feeling MV Teaser: Pre-Release Track Video Captures the Quartet in a Summery Slice of Life Setting

Summer is in full swing, but The Feeling MV teaser featuring SHINee members has left us feeling cool and breezy with its slice of life aesthetics. Releasing on June 9, 2023, at 12AM KST, the video teaser beckons the arrival of the actual pre-release music video that will precede the 2nd Generation K-pop quartet’s upcoming full album comeback this month.

The video first lends us a visual of Minho wearing a floral shirt, while Onew rejoices with big headphones over his head. Taemin comes in next with his platinum hairdo, and with his expressions exuding a nostalgic sentimentality. He’s followed by Key, who drops in last as he tosses away an apple into the air. Bright and hopeful paraphernalia like a yellow smiley balloon, a bunch of colourful flowers, apples rolling down the street, a cat looking straight into the camera and more are reminiscent of visuals seen in anime, but here, they all seem to have come to life.

Eventually Minho pulls out a grand map, which lists down all of the boy group’s previous songs and albums as locations in the SHINee World. Moreover, the same map of their world doesn’t leave out the name of the group’s late member Jonghyun either. For old fans of the group the video is a warming reminder of why they fell for the members in the first place.

It captures them in the happiest light of summer that is foregrounded by joy, jubilance and frolicking. The group also celebrated its 15th debut anniversary this year, and this video premiere will honour the same date. The teaser rolls out by giving us a soaring view of the sea that denotes the official representative colour of the group – pearl aqua.
