She-Hulk Attorney at Law Episode 4 Review: Magic Trick and Dating Game Gone Wrong With Some More Wong!

She-Hulk Attorney at Law Episode 4 is titled ‘Is This Not Real Magic?’ and has a runtime of about 34 minutes. The episode is directed by Kat Coiro and written by Melissa Hunter. The synopsis of the episode reads, “She-Hulk’s new client Wong is suing a magician for unauthorized use of the Mystic Arts.”

In the last episode, Walters confronts Blonsky, as footage of him not in prison, and as Abomination is circulating all over the news and it will surely ruin whatever case Jen has been building for him. He explains that he was removed from his cell by the Sorcerer Supreme Wong and returned to prison willingly afterwards.

Jen’s former colleague Dennis Bukowski approaches the superhuman law division for a case involving his ex-girlfriend Runa, a shape-shifting Light Elf from New Asgard who defrauded him by impersonating Megan Thee Stallion, which gets assigned to Walters’ coworker Augustus Pugliese.

Wong meets with Walters and agrees to testify at Blonsky’s parole hearing, during which Blonsky demonstrates his ability to remain in control as the Abomination. While Walters helps Pug win his case, Blonsky is released on parole but forbidden from transforming again.

After participating in a televised interview to tell her side of the story but turning into a lifestyle show, Walters is attacked by four men armed with Asgardian construction equipment, the Wrecking Crew and the first thing she does is scream. And then she remembers she can turn into She-Hulk.

Even though they all brandish their enhanced weapons, they’re no match for Jen who takes them all out one by one. As they flee, she takes a long, hard look at herself in a car window. They were hired by an anonymous client to steal a sample of her blood, though she fights them off.

She-Hulk Episode 4 starts with a dull magic show by a magician Donny Blaze. His typical magic tricks are not working on people, thus he resorts to the mystical ring to create a portal and sends off a girl from the audience into another dimension. The girl ends up at Wong’s place in Nepal and it enrages him to take action against the magician.

We get to know that he was a student of mystic arts until he was kicked out for the wrong use of powers. Wong seeks Jen’s help again to stop the magician as his tricks could impose much greater danger and risk untangling the material and astral planes. Meanwhile, Jen is unbothered by the attack last night, however, his father has prepared pepper spray and a shovel for her protection (cute).

And like any other single person, She-Hulk also joins the online dating world, on her friend’s nudge. However, just like Donny Blaze’s magic show with no excitement or wonder, our powerful lead isn’t able to find a nice and compatible person, as Jennifer Walters. So she dons the green superhero persona and matches light up her phone with notifications.

Final Thoughts: She-Hulk Attorney at Law Episode 4

This episode was more of camaraderie between She-Hulk and the Sorcerer Supreme Wong, while Jen navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. After much wall-breaking entry of Titania in the first episode, we finally got some information on the social media influencer superhero.

Wong had equal screen time as Jen in this episode and was amusing to see him forging a friendship with the girl who dropped in his home from the magic show. The creators also seem to use some great music tracks in the show, with featuring Megan Thee Stallion in the previous one and now playing the song Zoom by a South Korean artist named Jessi.

However, I expected to see the Abomination creating some troubles, while out on parole because the spiritual soulmate thing isn’t actually real, right? Or more revelation about the men who attacked her in the last episode. It explored the subjects where Jen is realising her powers and weighing the pros and cons of being a superhero.
