Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings Teaser: It’s Simu Liu’s Time To Shine

Marvel Entertainment is leaving no chance to make their fans happy. Today, actor Simu Liu celebrates his 32nd birthday. On the occasion, the studio released a new poster, also Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings teaser. It was a huge surprise not only for Liu but also for the entire fandom.

Simu Liu first took to his Twitter page to share a new teaser poster and a birthday gift for his fans. He shared that the teaser trailer will be out in a few weeks. The actor wrote, “Whoever said that you could only RECEIVE presents on your birthday? Today, I’m giving you your VERY FIRST LOOK at the teaser poster for Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings!! Coming to theatres September 3rd (trailer drops in a few weeks). WE’RE ALMOST THERE, PEOPLE!!!!”

However, Simu never thought that Marvel would surprise him in return and release the teaser today itself. On their Twitter page, they shared, “Happy Birthday @SimuLiu! We hope you enjoy your birthday present. Watch the brand-new teaser trailer for Marvel Studios’ Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and experience it only in theaters September 3.”

As soon as the teaser came out, Simu Liu and the fans couldn’t keep calm. The teaser is of 2 minutes 5 seconds, and it is packed with lots of action. Actor Tony Leung Chiu‑wai who is reportedly playing Mandarin in the film, says in the background to Shang Chi that he has given him 10 years to live his life. He trained him to such an extent that even the world’s powerful enemies cannot harm him.

We get to see glimpses of Shang Chi’s childhood, teenage life, and finally, his adult avatar. He gets trained as a kid and as an adult, still possesses the physical power. The action scenes are well shot and choreographed and stand out in Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings teaser. It looks completely different from everything we have seen in the MCU so far.

As soon as the studio shared Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings teaser, Simu was overwhelmed in a good way. He responded, “GHUUFXDTGVXDFGHVCDDTGHUIKKBVCDSTYGHJHGGHHJBVGGFYFYGUBIH THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”.

Destin Daniel Cretton helmed Shang Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings. The MCU film also stars Awkwafina, Florian Munteanu, Michelle Yeoh and Fala Chen. The film is slated to release in September this year.

It seems like birthday boy Simu is still amazed by the best birthday surprise he received. He shared another tweet and tagged Marvel for the unexpected act. The actor tweeted, “Well played @MarvelStudios. Well played.”

Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings will be MCU’s 5th project of Phase 4 releasing this year. WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series are already out. Fans are waiting for the last episode of TFATWS that’s coming out this week. In June, they will get Tom Hiddleston’s Loki as well as Scarlett Johannson’s Black Widow in July.
