A Lot Is Happening In The Hart Family!

Bless The Harts episode 13 marks just another day in the life of the Harts pitching Jenny and Wayne against Betty and David and Violet against teenagers! It’s another day in Greenpoint and well, another drama in the Harts family, and again Betty is the dramatic reason for this. As Jenny and Wayne try to spend some quality movie time, wine, and dinner time together, keeping in view that they have the entire house to themselves, they realize that they have been mistaken as their mother (Betty) is on her annual purge. What is it you ask? Basically, during this time of the year, Betty leaves all her friends and basically sulks in loneliness.

As Betty overtakes their movie night and makes it a family night, Wayne and Jenny decide that it’s high time that they influence Betty to get a job and get out in the world again but Betty is a tough egg to crack! Violet and David, on the other hand, try to find a third member for their group for which they even hold auditions but just one person turns up and things get sweet and sour real quick.

Switching back to the Betty, Jenny, Wayne problem, well, Betty gets a job at the Last Supper (yes, Jenny’s workplace) and things get unbearable for her both professionally and personally.

(Season 2) Bless The Harts Episode 13 Recap: Give Them Kids Some Quality Time Betty! 5

As I have mentioned this numerous times before, every episode of Bless The Harts S2 carries an undertone of social commentary bringing to life issues that are prevalent and deep-rooted through animated characters. Here, the issues I found talked about is online trolling and how it is bullying and nothing else no matter how much you try to sweeten it up. To get Betty fired, Wayne uses a fake account to troll and review Betty on the restaurant’s website leading her to lose her job.

Bless The Harts Episode 13 shows the effect of the same people both professionally and emotionally. Internet is a big place and people are no strangers to trolling or unnecessary scrutinizing and the episode brings all that to light without making it weigh heavier than the idea of the show but by perfectly blending it in. On the other hand, Violet and David’s storyline brings a softer side to the episode taking viewers away from the trolling aspect for a few highschool BS moments!
