Rick and Morty Season 6 Release Date Confirmed?

Rick and Morty Season 6 has been on everyone’s mind, especially with the return of Evil Morty in the final episode that has given rise to a whole new universe of threats that can be explored in the future seasons. It is an old trade habit in the marketing of this series that they seem to take an eternity to make an official announcement regarding season confirmation and release dates. Season 4 and 5 knocked on our doors with more than a year’s gap in between.

Yet there has always been steady updates on the development of season 6, yet how long is the wait? Well, seems like no more. During the Adult Swim Festival, it was confirmed that the show will return for the sixth season sooner than we expect it to!

When will Rick and Morty Season 6 release?

Well, the premiere is confirmed to happen in the upcoming year i.e., 2022. No window has been marked as to when exactly the season will release next year, but the confirmation of the series premiering in itself that the series is huge, given that the wait between early seasons was for multiple years.

Adult Swim tweeted about the end of the watch party where the release for Rick and Morty season 6 was announced.

As for what will happen in the upcoming season of Rick and Morty is still under speculation as the story took a drastic turn with the introduction of Evil Morty. The last season spent considerable energy exploring episodic stories and it was only during the last three episodes that it finally focused on the central premise. It could have been the show makers way to distract us from the real storyline and jump on us with the surprise of Evil Morty or, it could be less deliberate.
