Planning to Watch Quasi? Here’s Everything You Need to Know About Hulu’s Upcoming Comedy Film

Hulu is granting us one treat after the other and, in variation, one must say. After the daring and heart-wrenching release of Tiny Beautiful Things last week, the platform is bringing to us Quasi– a comedy film, possibly an antidote before it drops another bomb of content from a different genre.

The upcoming Hulu release is directed by Kevin Heffernan and written by Heffernan and Broken Lizard members- Steve Lemme, Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske. Based on the 1831 classic novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo, the film is produced under the banner of Searchlight Pictures and Broken Lizard. Ahead of the release of the film, let us have a look at some significant details surrounding it.

Quasi Cast

The cast for the film is crisp and talented. It features Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske and Adrianne Palicki.

Quasi Plot/Synopsis

Hulu’s official description for the film reads: “A hapless hunchback yearns for love but finds himself in the middle of a murderous feud between the Pope and the king of France when each orders the hunchback to kill the other.”

The trailer for the upcoming film shows us how it is going to be a satirical drama with a hint of sketch comedy in it. We have Quasi, the essential protagonist of the movie aka the Hunchback we are going to follow throughout the film. Working in the royal torture chamber, he yearns for nothing more than love. Until his life changed after a betrayal hits him putting him in the middle of a raging murder scene.

The film is scheduled to be released by Searchlight Pictures on Hulu on April 20, 2023 (United States). It will also be available on Disney+ via the Star content hub internationally and Star+ in Latin America. The cinematography of the film is by Joe Collins.
