Priyanka Chopra co-hosts the extremely glamourous and star-studded pre-oscar celebrations that took place on Wednesday. The party was organized to honour this year’s Oscar Nominees from South Asian Communities. It was to celebrate the hard work of all those people working relentlessly behind the screen to make movies that reach a level of excellence.
The actor took to her social media to pen down her thoughts about the event. She congratulates and wishes the Oscar Nominees all the luck for the upcoming Academy Awards. This year’s Oscar Nominees from South Asia are, Riz Ahmed (Flee, The Long Goodbye), Joseph Patel (Summer of Soul), Suroosh Alvi (Flee) Pawo Choyning Dorji (Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom), Aneil Karia (The Long Goodbye), Elizabeth Mirzaei & Gulistan Mirzaei (Three Songs for Benazir), Rintu Thomas, Sushmit Ghosh & Anurima Bhargava (Writing with Fire).
Priyanka Chopra looked stunning in her black saree as she posed in front of the paparazzi. The Matrix Resurrections actor shared a number of pictures with the attendees who seem to have a gala time at the event. Chopra writes on her Instagram, “What a special honor it was to cohost a pre-oscar celebration honoring this year’s 10 South Asian Oscar nominees, and the friends, family, and colleagues who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make all of this possible. Last night gave me all the feels, and filled me with so much pride for how far our community has come. The future of entertainment is looking bright.”

Priyanka also gave an emotional speech at the event where she talked about her journey to Hollywood and expressed her gratitude for the presence of the South Asian Community in the same industry. The actor mentions, “Make business plans, make deals, let’s get out there, let’s forge a path where we are unstoppable and that can only happen if we do it together. I’m gonna do that tonight,”
Mindy Kaling, Kumail Nanjiani, Anjula Acharia, Bela Bajaria, Maneesh K. Goya and Shruti Ganguly also hosted the party.
