Perfect Match is a dating reality TV series hosted by Nick Lachey and stars contestants from all of Netflix’s reality TV shows like Love Is Blind, The Ultimatum, Too Hot To Handle, The Mole, Selling Tampa, The Circle, Twentysomethings: Austin, and Sexy Beasts.
If you haven’t been living under a rock (and also have a Netflix account), you must’ve come across the new ‘hit’ reality dating show called Perfect Match. As the name suggests, it’s a show where Netflix’s ‘most eligible’ bachelors come together at a shot at love, without the need to police their sexual needs and delving deep into their inner selves in order to form ‘genuine, long-lasting’ connections.
These are all just words for Netflix to, again, create a show that promotes toxicity and some weird racism that just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Perfect Match Review
For those who have watched the entire thing, you will be aware of how the show ended and who won. Not getting into the winners just yet, Perfect Match, thankfully for my sanity, didn’t end with ‘queen’ of the house Francesca Farago (Too Hot to Handle Season 1) winning the guy and the title. Instead, we find our wronged lover taking the cake. It’s cute and, honestly, felt like a good outcome.
However, regardless of who won and who didn’t, I must say that the series just left such a bad taste in my mouth. Let’s just discuss how Farago, who was probably the most sought-after person in the villa, got away with constantly changing partners and trying out the flavour of the day, absolutely destroying relationships and creating such a hostile environment, not just for the participants, but for the audience as well.
Her attitude is what got to me – it’s fine not to be able to make up your mind. But she constantly hassled Dom and Damian around while doing the exact same thing herself. Asking them not to talk to Savannah when she changed partners every few rounds. It’s honestly just sad and desperate.

On the other hand, who thought that it would be a good idea to let Bartise into this? The last thing we need is for Love is Blind’s toxicity to seep into another dating show. It’s honestly infuriating to watch the man manipulate women around him and put himself on a pedestal so high that you probably wouldn’t be able to see anything or anyone underneath.
Furthermore, I found it icky that Black men and women were constantly paired with each other. It’s just so odd to me that whoever got the option to choose would exclusively send a Black man and woman on a date instead of actually thinking about who would gel well with each other. Thankfully a mixed-race couple won; otherwise, even though Kariselle and Joey seem to have made good progress, we all know that that proposal looked super fake, right?
Either way, were we entertained by Perfect Match? A bit, sure. I personally loved a few contestants, but the drama in the show was just a bit too made up for me to enjoy. Francesca’s mean-girl attitude felt scripted, and I hope for her future partners’ sakes that she’s a kind person. Other than that, the show is not extraordinary, neither is it something that you will think about later on. It’s mildly entertaining and wholly forgettable.
Perfect Match Contestants: Who Are Still Together?

Ok, so the season ended with Dom and Georgia winning the first season after their honest attempts to be with each other won the hearts of those in the villa. Since the winners were decided by everyone in the house with a vote, it was sweet to watch a nice end to it all.
However, did the couples stay together after the show?
Joey and Kariselle
Joey and Kariselle’s on-again, off-again relationship supposedly came to an end right after the show. The two confirmed the break up in an interview with Today. And honestly, Joey’s face at Georgia and Dom winning really does make you wonder whether that proposal was for all the right reasons.
Dom and Georgia
Dom and Georgia are also not together after their rather sweet run on the show. They tried to make it work, but a long-distance relationship proved too hard to follow through. Well, that, and apparently the fact that Georgia cheated on Dom with Harry Jowsey from Too Hot to Handle season 1 (funnily enough, another one of Francesca’s exes!), says a lot about the legitimacy of the relationship. Dom’s Instagram story highlight is a juicy ride to go through and is probably more entertaining than the entire show.

Chloe and Shayne
Chloe and Shayne looked like they were made for each other in the show, considering they were both high-strung and energetic. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like these two are together either, with Chloe may be dating someone new. She continues to tease a “boyfriend reveal” on her Instagram, but the name of the person is yet to be revealed.
Bartise and Izzy
Listen, Bartise’s very slimy attitude in the show, especially with him gaslighting Abbey when she refused to have sex with him in front of the camera, just speaks volumes about how he is as a person. That, and the fact that Izzy seemed a bit too drunk in the last episode, really shows where that relationship was headed. So, no – they are not together.
LC and Nick
Honestly, this relationship is just so fresh that it’s hard to say anything about these two. Nick still comments on LC’s Instagram posts, but their status together is unclear. So, you know, maybe there is some hope out there for fans.
