Parineeti Chopra Shines In Saina Teaser; Karan Johar To Collaborate With Talented Directors

Today, Amole Gupte and Parineeti Chopra treated all the movie lovers with the Saina teaser. The film stars Parineeti Chopra in the titular role and is based on Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal’s life. The teaser comes a few days after the makers revealed the film’s release date.

The teaser starts with Parineeti Chopra’s voice in the background where she says that in a country with crores of population, half of them are girls. She says how boys are educated and sent to college while most girls are asked to get married and be a housewife. Along with her voiceover, we also get to see scenes of her making an entry as Saina and all the reporters applauding and cheering for her.

In this 1 minute 23 seconds teaser, the makers have shown us montages of Parineeti aka Nehwal’s childhood, her badminton skills, several of her tournaments and much more. The background score and the editing style leaves a great impact on the viewer. The last scene where Parineeti’s Saina wins a match and has wrapped the Indian flag around her shoulders will give you chills.

Saina is written and directed by Amole Gupte. Amaal Mallik has composed the music and the movie is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, Sujay Jairaj and Rasesh Shah. The film is slated to release on March 26, 2021.

Along with Parineeti Chopra’s Saina teaser, filmmaker Karan Johar too has shared huge news with fans. For the past few days, the director-producer has been revealing names of the faces his production house, DCA Talent and Dharmatic will represent. After promising to give great stories to the talented actors, KJo has now shared the list of directors he will be collaborating with this year and more.

On his Twitter page, Karan Johar shared a stunning picture where all the directors he will be working with are dressed up in black. Karan Johar tweets, “Over the last four decades, #DharmaProductions has groomed over 20 directors who have honed their skill set over the years to create magic on the big screen, and now #TeamDharma is all set to usher in a new age of cinema with 14 young and talented storytellers joining the Dharma family.”

He further writes, “Their modern perspective on cinema will bring in a new era of content, spreading across the mediums. Be it theatrical or digital, our new roster of storytellers are ready for it all. The #DirectorsOfDharma have many stories brewing in their kitchen, and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the table. Stay tuned!

The list of directors Karan Johar will be working with are Shashank Khaitan, Collin D’Cunha, Sharan Sharma, Raj Mehta, Sonni Vivek, Anubhuti Kashyap, Shazia Iqbal and several others.

He captioned the picture, “Meet our new wave of storytellers… #DirectorsOfDharma“.
